ok trying to get this report finished before heading out for the next big trip.. Day 14 was spent at Sarkanniemi, home to Tornado and other fun stuff. This time i don't have that many pictures to show, this due to me spending most of the day trying to keep the camera gear dry. sorry folks. After this there should be one more update and then it's done.. Looking at the first stop of the day.. should be fun hmmm aha, skateboard and Halfpipe.. makes sence ehhmm.. i remember this kind of device... not waiting in the rain for it.. maybe later when it's dry.. yup.. the "seats" they seem to be pretty darn happy.. forget the previous comment, this looks more like it.. the new ride for that year behind the scene's.. being stuck with heavy raind coming down.. makes for funny expressions.. Tornado how awesome is ERT?? this is what happens when Robb has a hammer and i'm nearby with the camera crazy looking flat ride at the park loop bright colors through the loop Half Pipe as seen from the tower Finland = lots of water last credit for the day.. -

The reason i like EuroMir as much as i do at the moment is mostly due to the group vibe thing. There's (almost) nothing better then raving to the music with a group, going up the lifthill and keep on clapping, humming yelling and doing other random stuff based on the tune. It's the vibe that just sticks and makes it fun. The ride itself.. every ride on it is different and that's also something i like.. and i don't mind riding backwards and seeing other people's reaction to the ride. It's a bit shaky in places.. but you know what.. all the more fun. regarding the different angle picture at Phantasialand... i don't plan on focussing on that too much.. don't want to end up in some sort of jail or something worse due to people thinking weird things of me.. (no stalker shots unless they are really funny) -

Happy to hear people enjoy the pictures and updates so far. Here's another short update. Yeah short.. Day 3 was spent at Phantasialand. Home to Black Mamba, Winjas and other fun stuff. Usually i try to take pictures of everybody having a great time during ERT sessions and other moments.. this day my picture taking skills basically had a "crash" and i just had a fun, break day. Found a seat on Black Mamba and basically did not leave it for the entire ERT session, after that..i just needed a bunch of sleep. So yeah, not that many pictures of today. I'll try to make up for it with the update of day 4.. Efteling.. but that's for the next update. after arriving late.. this was the first look out of the window the next morning.. Black Mamba fail or kinda cool.. not sure yet.. anyway, the hotel i can only imagine what happened the night before... yes, we are still at the hotel.. so many photo options and angles.. another look at the hotel.. in the winjas area there's plenty to see stairs.. wuze town the "elevator" ride gives a different angle at winjas time for some more spinning... and i'll leave you with this image... that's all folks -

This should go pretty quickly from this moment on (depending on time at my end..) Anyway, after a short night of sleep due to a lot of fun at the hotels bar (should have gone there during previous visits) it was time for day 2 (for me) More time at Europa Park and a nice drive to Wurzburg to have some fun at Olympia Looping, drink and eat at a bear tent and other random fun. It was a nice warmup for the Oktober Fest trip later this year. the morning ritual let's start with some more ERT lovely blue it's a bit blurry.. but darn it.. Larry spot the dutch after a nice drive we made it to the next stop.. hmm.. 5 loops empty train with a nice view on the restraints ride website expression time worries, joy and ... .. another Larry image.. ...looks like a "oh sh*t" expression as well next train and more expressions (screams) love the hair better then a dark ride... through the loop did i get a picture of everybody so far? time to zoom in just a little... what can i say... such a fun ride and yes.. this is a coaster travelling from fair to fair.. and it was smooth as well.. smiles all around the rings first drop fun thumb up from Larry is always a good sign they look so happy and some ride specs (for the nerds) time for a small bonus.. this was in the bear tent.. the guy looked way too... ehm.. excitement well done, fingers crossed there's another one of these at OktoberFest -

That is Euro-Mir, one of the awesome rides in the park with a catchy tune going up the lifthill -
Here we are once again, after an amazing time with good friends and excellent parks it is back to basics (aka work) But.. I still have some images i would like to share with all of you, hope you enjoy them. Let's get this report started, my first stop was Europa Park. This was my third visit to the park (in the same amount of years) and everytime i see new details and i notice things that have been added and/or changed as well. To me this is one of those parks in the world one should visit at least once in a lifetime. Anyway, this update will have a lot of pictures of BlueFire (and some more of the park) Not much else of a story to tell for the moment, feel free to comment. Day 1: Europa Park (scroll down) Day 2: Europe Park and Olympia Looping Day 3: Phantasialand Day 4: Efteling en Joris en de Draak reason number one to love this place, amazing hotel (just a shame regarding the fountains..) hotel ceiling a lot has changed since last year in this area Blue Fire part of the new entrance building let's start this session with a bunch of happy people (or so it seems) how's it going Steve? getting ready for that one amazing image.. launching happy faces to give you a small idea of the seat and restraint system they look so tiny I guess most people have something similar yummie the many faces of the launch prayer time? rocks and turn and the end of the launch in the loop rocks and twists happy face going down... looking back at the station launch fun from the other side is that a Larry smile?? next train that looks like a very big smile fun turn part the old que area is now open for walking and picture taking, although when it's really busy it will be used as overflow que area so many things to take a look at when walking there up close and... my favorite part of the ride hmmmm flying by twisty passing by lots and lots of theming another train so much fun ok, time to move on and check out some other things going up as seen from backstage bits and pieces bring on the tune my favorite bench reserved parking spots so many things to look at back outside part of a tv-set immer wieder Sontags new picture angle trying to get that one amazing picture time to move on here comes the train crazy people in the back.. Silver Star part of one of the amazing looking party places at the park ehmm, there's something so look at around every corner wedding reception anyone?? and there's still more back outside. no worries, there's nothing to be worried about.. roof work in progress time to cool down a little.. i just love the look of the random person walking by the ropes/que give away we are still inside a park.. Matterhorn Blitz time for the "best" part of the day don't think i need to add anything to this hmm, switzerland.. hold on tight waterrides part of a fun ride which is perfect to cool down a little.. ehhmm time to get some more Blue Fire pictures looks like the ride is a hit with the public random people, love the hair this years addition, an amazing looking splash battle these waterguns looked to be working pretty darn good did i mention the theming yet? glad i'm just out of range back to the steel structure that is Blue another look at the loop happy riders hmmm, i like perfect with these restraints bottom of the loop happy riders side view some random folks, looks like somebody is a bit afraid.. enough said, just some more images thanks for the fun rides if you see a sign like this... ... hide that's it for this update. Hope you liked it

Germand beer is always good (although i don't drink ) I got to ride some of the other stuff during a previous visit (April 09) This was just a media event, the park was closed and only this little group had access to the new coaster. Everything else was closed. But it's a fun place and this ride is a great addition to the place. -
Listening to some random dutch soccer related songs.. going back to 1988 and this years songs.. and all of this because the folks at work are soccer fans and everybody is getting ready for today's game.. owh my...

If you looked closely at the images you could see some ropes that prevented the folks from entering zones wihich were too dangerous. This was a media day event/opening and we were the only people in that area. The next stept for the park will be to fence of the area and make sure the normal guests will not be able to enter this area. -
Hi there, So today was the media day for Huracan, the new coaster for Belantis in Germany. This multilooper was built by Gerstlauer in record breaking pace. This beauty is 32 meters high, has first drop with a 95degree angle (beyond vertical). Top speed of 85 kilometers an hour and a capacity of 800 people an hour. It turns you up-side-down 5 times and the g-forces go from -1.3G to + 5.5G The ride will open june 26th for the public and will also feature a "fastpass" solution (limited to one ride per person per day) This is a test, free of charge and if it works as they think it does they will look into upgrading this years manual system to something else next year. So far for the technical things related to this ride. The following will be a lot of pictures i took during the event. I got to ride it a couple of times in different seats and yes. I did like it. Actually i really did. It took a little while to sink in and go back through my mind to compare it to some of the other coasters i've been on.. but this one is pretty high on my list. It actually does pack a punch (or i'm getting old) but i could feel it after a couple of rides. For the rest it flies, it's fun and it has something of everything. Big drop, airtime and big forces. Lots of quick turns and transitions. I think the park has a winner with this ride and it's something people (in the area) will enjoy a lot. Thank you Belantis for having me and i'll be back for another visit (still need to get some laps on the "Gotterflug" ) first new look at the park as seen from my car I had some time to spare so decided to walk around the back of the park. Here's the other coaster at the park as seen from a different angle. a castle and a coaster, don't you just love theming time to get back to the car, i see something red in the backgound some advertisement near the park the test runs had started for today i see people the entrance area of the park everytime i look at it there are more details i see focus, focus.. there's a coaster i should be taking pictures of.. not a building.. red and steel.. hmmm ok, let's go to the new coaster and give it a try there used to be a tent behind this sign with a kinds of things in it regarding the coaster.. getting closer can i take it home? interlocking cork screws camelhump the tower with the first drop and the way up to the zero-G roll speeach time, interesting stories were told. i taped a little of it but realised it was all in german.. so i decided not to upload it hmm, looks like the birds have already found a place to sit and.... forget about the speech.. i see something in the distance.. welcome ladies sexy... posing for the photographers and the tv crews more press people, trying to find the angles and see what needs to be doen to get that one amazing picture practice run time the ride is getting pretty low to the ground as well v-shaped trains to provide better views for everybody plenty of details on these trains top of the tower some things still ned to get finished over the next couple of days, but they are woking hard at it station building another look at the lifthill/tower for all the nerds out there don't look into those eyes hello ladies, have fun and please wait untill i'm at my spot to get some pictures.. ow wait.. you moving on.. i'd better walk quickly almost down the first drop during their first ride of the day is it fear or is it joy? at least they made a lot of noice scream if you like it i see hair hairtime looks like they are starting to enjoy it another empty train going round. Plenty of time to test a different location plenty airtime here looking at those wheels. coming down after the midcourse brake section wider angle spot and name the elements time to focus, the ladies are going again mommie.. do i have to do this?? eyes closed or arms up?? going down i see happy faces that's better ladies, smile and enjoy the ride. don't forget to scream as well looks like the practice runs helped.. gravity.. looks pretty close to 90 degrees happy faces so many things to look at on those trains hitting the brakes, time to relax a little and do another lap looking underneath the train how low can you go? another look at the first drop looking up into the zero-g lot of press people more corkscrew fun trying to be artsy first drop fun more gravity fun... airtime... all the other folks are trying to get that one shot.. more upside down station, tower/first drop, midcourse zero-g, cobra roll, corkscrews imagine some fountains or a water area there.. could be fun (this came to mind looking at the pictures at home and i did not hear any mention of it during the day) tv-crew filimg the ladies one more time up side down hitting the brakes smiling faces for all the nerds out there bottom of the lifthill another look up the lifthill it's only 32 meters up... train inside the station station theming details i'm pretty sure the handrails will get a color before opening it was time for me to go.. but at least i could still get some images of people riding one more time smile if you like it bye bye hump before the midcourse... and yes.. the train is moving away from the point where i was standing for this picture.. it's twisty metal and red one last look at the zero g and top of the tower The ride opens june 26th, go ride it!!!!
