I agree that Roller Coaster is a bit of a cop out name but for the one at Blackpool Pleasure Beach I think it's better than it's original. Before it was relocated to it's present position (many many many years ago) it was called (wait for it) 'The Velvet Coaster'.

Just heard that Rita has had it's first test run today and all went well. Wasn't that bothered about it when I first saw the plan but itlooks like it may be worth a visit later in the year.

Probably would have been the Little Dipper (Zipper Dipper) at PBB. First full size was The Reel at PBB (long gone now), closely followed by The Roller Coaster also at PBB.

Just heard that Rita is now due to open on 25-28 of March and will apparantly be open to hotel quests before other visitors. Wish i could afford to stay at one of the hotels.

Me and my partner where on Valhalla at PBB when it just stopped. Seems to happen quite often, something just trips apparantly. Quite cool really, sat in dark for a couple of minutes and then all the lights came on and a rather embarrased looking ride op had to walk past us to restart what ever had tripped. On good thing aboutthis as we got to go through the next area in the light and saw that a large section of the effects weren't on. I have also been on PMBO when it stopped on the lift hill at the top. We were walked down after about 10 mins. Damn fine view if a little cool.

Guess ours would be American Adventure but that's just pants now so as far as closest it would be Drayton Manor.

Not the actual last coasters we've ridden but the last ones with photo's at he moment. The actual last coaster would be the Big Dpper at PBB just as the park was closinglast year. Oblivion Pepsi Maz Big One

I got some photos I'd like to post but I seem to be unable to get them down to the required file size. I've sorted out the pixel size fine but no mater how low I take the detail they are always to damn big in file size. Any help would be greatly appriciated. TA
