  1. Here are a few photos Canobie Screeemfest logo New Toxic Spill set Roller rink and Haunt entrances(Merriment Incorporated(right) Dead Shed(LEft)) One of many Performers that roamed the park. See the full album here http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=250050&id=591859751&l=e4545fd210
  2. Having only one ticket left I wanted till closing weekend to make my last trip to Canobie lake Park and check out its Halloween event Screeemfest. I got at the park at 3:30, though the park didn’t open till 4. They opened the gates about 15 minutes later and I made my way around the parks to get pics of the parks scattered sets. The park closed at 11 of I had 7 hours to take everything in. Rides were not a priority but over the course of the day I hit Cannonball, Davinci’s Dream, Tea cups, and Start blaster. I would have hit more but it seems every ride in the park closed down 10 minutes early. My last try was Whip out at 2 minutes of 11. They said the park was closed yet needless to say no announcement was made till 2 minutes later. Canobie was broken up into 2 sections Oktoberfest and Screeemfest. And I spend some time in both. They were also the focus of my trip. Oktoberfest It was Located in the center of the park, stretching form the International food pavilion to the edge of kiddie land. The park offered variety of German inspired Food as well as a wide selection of beers. The area was covered by a large tent and filled with picnic tables. There was even a German Oompah band. Though the main Show for the event was a Prince Tribute show. To introduce the show and also Screemfest an Ozy Osborn look alike. Both performers were top notch which is normal for the shows and performers brought in by Simon Will productions. There were some great songs covered but they seemed to be only about half the songs. They even covered Bat dance which is my favorite Prince song. This show could have been much bigger and seemed confined in the midway stage. It was well worth the time to watch it and I saw half of the first show and all of the second. I did not buy any Oktoberfest food or beer. I did however take a try at the Mug Slide. I had a ticket to try it free. I didn’t win. I did get a refill of soda which was $1 dollar. Screemfest Screeemfest consisted of 3 haunts, 2 shows, 2 themed games, and the Monster parade. The event took up nearly all the park outside of the October fest area. 2 sections of the park were closed for the season. The haunts were moved into the parks old Roller Rink building that has been used for storage for as long as I can remember. The shows were both located in the Dance hall theater which held the haunts last year. The 2 shows were Monster Bash a monster rock show and Circus of the Strange a magic and vaudeville style show. Both shows were very enjoyable but seemed small for the venue. I get the reasoning behind the show locations but feel they should have been reversed. The circus I watched all the way through and felt most trick were worth the time. The Rock show I watched the first half. Only. The performer Brandon is an amazing singer and an energetic showman. Though this is a Halloween show and pushing Superstitious as a seasonal song they were performing run of the mill songs, Some Body to Love for example. The joking and talk between songs seemed to draw out the shows main draw the fantastic performers. I did not see the monster parade this year. The haunts were the key attraction for this trip. The Haunts are included with your Admission so I had no hesitation to hit each of them twice. I did play the Autopsy game which is a life size operation game. I did try the Last ride. I had a ticket for this attraction wish is a simulated ride to the grave. It has audio, smells, and simulated movements and feels. It was a lot of fun. The Village This was the least impressive of the 3 haunts. The majority of the Ye old Canobie Village is closed to house this Haunt. Much of the courtyard as well as the flumes over flow queue was used to house the Ride queue which stayed at 30-40 minutes all night. The haunt consisted of corn cob lined fences as well as trestle fencing that was set up to create corridors. Unlike last year the entire haunt was outdoors which made it feel smaller. The lack of A large graveyard also took a lot away form the haunts themeing. The haunt was well staffed but the majority of performers were bunched into the back and end section. Rating - 2 out of 5 Merriment Incorporated Now housed in the Roller rink the attraction got a new evil clown entrance prop. The haunt was very well themed same as last year and a new room was added. This arcade used old Video games that were stored in the building and added a little extra. The Haunt was well staffed I counted 15 performers. Though the performance level was mixed, a few simply walked pardoned made no effort to frighten me. The haunt ends with a white strobed claustrophobic chamber. Thing it you then had to walk the stretch of the building to get out with little light and nothing to direct you except park security. Rating - 3.5 out of 5 Dead Shed This was also located in the Skating rink. The Entrance from last year was moved outside and corn cob lines fencing lead you to the haunts entrance. While this was the best themed of the 3 haunts it’s lighting was terrible so much of it was missed. It was the most frightening of the 3 but I attribute that to the many performers (18) that made a point to make you jump. The scenes with the best lighting were also the ones with the most props. These scenes also had smells such a s chicken feathers, rotted meat and well a cow droppings smell. The fully immersive haunt was fantastic except the darkness got me last I actually walked through an actors portal instead of going through the opening I should have. The parks best haunt in my mind. Rating - 4 out of 5 I ran into 2 members of Canobie fan justplainsteve and Garnder14. I also ran into 2 of the park owners Anthony and Carl Bernie. Carl confirmed that the USA mission will be removed for the new coasters entrance. I later in the day got a chance to talk worth him about the haunts. I spent most of the tie talking to Anthony. He gave me the coupons I used on the games and told me the USA mission ride might be relocated if they can find a spot for it. We talked about the Screeemfest event as well as the coaster. Seems the coaster was discovered not though many pleas on the Canobie forums but after visiting a park in Europe with family that had a euro fighter. They were most impressed by the lack of noise and new it was a perfect fit for the park. We also talked about Corkscrew as Future attractions. He even asked me what I would add if it was my choice. In all it was a very good day expect of the rides closing early. It’s always sad to make your last trip of the season but I have so much to look forward to in 2011.I said a few goodbyes on my way out wishing them a great of season and insuring I would see then next year.
  3. This is only the second year the park has hosted a Halloween event. Last year they did a one-day trial and nature didn’t cooperate. But there was such positive feedback they opted to have it return and expand it to 3 days. Originally called Ghosts of Christmas past the name was changed this year to a much more genetic “Silly Spooky Halloween Extravaganza.” Not sure it has the same impact. I arrived at noon with my parents and Niece. I was expecting alight crowed but was surprised to find the entire main lot filled and the lot across the street half filled. I also noticed they did some land clearing in the back of the lot. Guess they needed more parking after this years additions. Before going in we took a second to talk with Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, which was dressed as a farmer. Seemed like a nice tough at this not so scary Halloween event. The park also had Halloween themed music playing throughout the park. Other displays were coffins lined with green and orange lights. Many plastic pumpkins topped fence posts and served as themed lights. All the buildings had Red Orange and green lights on them, Small grave stone set ups, the Whale fountain was colored red and has a pair of legs + a head floating in a life ring, and more. The big set up was a low scare lever haunted barn set up in the parks reindeer barn. It was a lot of fun and used a variety of prop styles. There were a few live actors that would simply move add some life to the haunt without scaring the kids. One employee did make a point to scare me, which I respect. My niece was far enough up that she did not jump. While nearly every ride saw a change of name to reflect the season only 3 rides were given Halloween makeover. Humbug adventure had a few added props to spook it up. The car ride had a few themed displays and an escaped prisoner out side of the police station. The Himalaya (Screamalaya) had the most impressive makeover with A closed in building, Fog, Orange lights and a strobe light. The operator made a point to switch the lights on and off along with a slowing and speeding up the ride. In all we hit a fair number of rides and one show. Rides: ( Halloween names) Himalaya (Screamalaya) Skyway Sleigh (Scarecrow monorail) X2 Bumpercars (Pile of Bones Junkyard) X2 Train (Pumpkin Express) Humbug Adventure (Scrooge’s Haunted House) X3 Peppermint Twist (Shipwreck Island) X5 Reindeer Carousel (Mardi Gras Carousel) – The reindeer has Mardi Gras masks on Car ride (Mum’s Taxi) Drummer Boy (Clawnin’ Around) – Soldiers had Clown costumes on. Rockn’ Round the Christmas Tree (swinging Spoo-ville) – Operated wore a Grinch costume Rudy’s Rapid transit (Rocket to the Galaxies) – Star wars theme X2 The train was the last ride of the night. Show – We saw the rehabbed version of Jingle Jamboree. It was nice to see the show back. The new animatronics had similar movements but a much fresher look form the old show and the Santa Animatronic looked great and the Rudy one was ok. The soundtrack sounded like a rehabbed version of the old show rather then a new recording. The new theater was well constructed and now features a Snack stand. There was Trick-or-Treating around the park though I expected there to be more locations there are many buildings that would have been good treat spots. Though Santa’s house was the location of the Silly Nilly Witch who handed out candy. 2 other major projects that went on for this yea is a new customer services area it’s much larger and houses more nursing and changing rooms then before. The New Polo Expreso Food location took over the old customer service area and looks great with a nice selection of snack and drinks. Overall it was a really good day. The park looked good and it will be nice to see how they expand the displays and event in the future. We left at 6:30 just before the park was open to 7 but it was getting very cold. The temp was in the low 40’s all day and dropped at night. I will be back though for the Christmas event. The parking lot was very empty when we left. Though as we drove by Six Gun City their parking lots were packed. I wonder if people went forward with my first idea to hit both parks in one day. Six gun was open later into the day.
  4. The ridership i a huge reason. The rides line is practically no existent, unless the park is extremely busy. Costs to keep up a nearly 40 year old coaster is very high and the coaster has no marketable value left in it for the park. the park dose have room near the tracks and a small inlet to expand the water park. but they need more room. they backed themselves into a corner with castaway and they are forced to keep it up. they could use half of corkscrews spot and give then the extra room they really need. The coaster the park should need next is upper end family. Something like a Roller skater. They could fit a coaster of its size and scale in half the plot Corkscrew takes up.
  5. Airtime&Gravity - It has been said many time by park owners that Corkscrew would stay until they could add a coaster with the some or more inversion. The new Euro Fighter, named Untamed, has 3. The corkscrew has simply been coaster at the park for a some years now. Dr.Shadey - This coaster returns Canobie count to 4. they park already has 3 coasters; Cannonball, Corkscrew, and Dragon. At 4 it ties them with Lake Compounce with their 4 coasters; Boulderdash, Wildcat, Zoomerang and Kiddie coaster.
  6. I'll Second this motion. I'm sure canobie has a non compete claws which is why they are getting a used mouse instead of the Euro fighter they disused a few years back.
  7. True it is bigger then Sponge Bob. which will help in its draw. let1gre - While it is a popular coaster, which is the case with the company right now. The coaster wills till be extremely unique. depending on opening day (expected for May) it will be the 3rd to 4th to open in North America. update: the approval has been postponed pending a traffic study!
  8. It is small compared to many models. But it should seem build in an empty field towering next to one of Canobies classic buildings.
  9. I just posted the station art as well as the Themeing/lot proposal on the Whalom forums. The coaster will be build at the mouth of the field entrance between USA Mission and the Canobie mall. The coaster will then run along the side of the Canobie mall in what is now open field/picnic grove. check the out: s6.zetaboards.com/New_Whalom_Park/topic/8679007/1/#new
  10. It is not goign into the spot were Galaxy was. teh coaster wouldn't fit in that spot. At this time Xtreme Frisbee operates on that plot within the park. The coaster is going into the old ball field that is currently used for a picnic grove. The land is flat and Canobie has equipment on site form a previous Screeemfest project.
  11. saginawhxc - If is a great addition. The coaster fits in without exceeding the parks height requirement. It's also the first addition without replacing another ride in 7 years. the park can use the extra capacity . the park pulls an attendance on par if not higher Lake Compounce. It also adds to the Ride count which exceeds that at SFNE. larrygator - while I hope your right. I don't expect to see it go down too much. Cannonball will still be the parks king and the new coaster will draw in new guests. Especially since it's the biggest NE addition announced so far. with so many dissatisfied over SFNEs mouse we might see many some of them migrate to Canobie similar to that seen in 2005 when they jumped their prices. Montuman99 - It will be located in teh back, Northern section of the park. Next to the Canobie Mall in the Ball field/Picnic grove. I will have a photo of the ride position posted by tonight on the Whalom forums. I will make sure to announce it's posting.
  12. The park is much further along then they are letting on. The theme and design is all set. they just need permission to start. I have been staying on top of this on the Whalom forums. ( http://s6.zetaboards.com/New_Whalom_Park/topic/8679007/1/?x=0#post8004458 ) The coaster will be a compact 320+ model that was reconfirmed to day in a news report released today. The theme was also announced which confirms what I was given. The theme will be White birch themed supports with dark green track. As for what the park has to go though. Canobie spends a lot of money to get attractions and expansion build. In this case they had to Fly reps to Europe to get measurements form an existing 320 model to have exact decibel measurements to give the city.
  13. And they both have nasty coke products. A whole Pizza at story Land is only $19 a much better cost. but like I mentioned Expensive compared to a whole pizza at any other attraction around it.
  14. It is a steel Compared to most main stream parks. Even Canboie is around 2.99 for a slice of peperoni. It is however high compared to the other parks in the area. a 14 in peperoni pizza at santa's village will only cost you around $13. SFNE is terribly high likely similar to Cedar Fair parks.
  15. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was an enjoyable day.
  16. It's Located in Glen, NH Which is the Northern area of the state in the White mountains. It's 1 of 3 technically 4 parks in the area.
  17. This trip was sort of last minute coming up just a day before. But I got up and wrapped up a few things so I could enjoy the day. I went with my parents and niece. They had return passes so I only needed a ticket for myself. Though not unexpected I found us leaving late and not arriving gat the park till 1:15 that day. I got a ticket at a discount $23.99, a $2 dollar increase form last year. While not terribly expensive compared to some parks it was given the 4 hours and 45 minutes left to the operating day. We made out way in and while my parents brought my niece to the restroom I walked over to the Yum Yum Junction. The building is no longer a gift shop, Instead it has been converted to a candy, Ice cream and fudge shop. It was a nice change. The majority of souvenirs it offered can be found in other locations so it wasn’t a loss. The new food options were welcomed, but I was surprised that they not use the candy shop as a primary exit. They even promote it on the sign. After meeting up with my group I talked briefly with the park’s New GM it was nice to hear that he is settle in comfortably. He strongly recommended the shows. With that we went on with our day. We mad our way over the hill to the Polar coaster. The ride was a blast as usual and it’s always a joy to ride a coaster that can’t be found anywhere else in the world. We road the Bamboo chute, the parks flume ride, another custom design Hopkins ride. We checked out the online photo from the ride but didn’t buy after seeing the $12 dollar price. When the price was 8 we would buy on every year on multiple rides sometime more then once a year. No we just move on without buying anything. I snapped a shot of the screen none the less. As we made out way to the front we came up to the Professor Bigglesteps lab. The park removed the large cannon on the off season and in its place is a building with 2 midway style games and a small gift shop. I wish they could have kept it. I have always seen the Cannon as an iconic aspect of the park so I found it strange to see it gone. Wish they could have kept it. The cannon was a set piece for the Journey to the Moon dark ride that operated in the dome. The games are a Ring toss with coke bottles offering a $1 dollar 5 ring and $5 dollar bucket options. The second game is a duck race winner ever time attraction for $2 dollars. The Crab crawl water race game is now $2 dollars and I suspect but wasn’t able to confirm the roller ball race game in Mexico also gone up. My niece for the first time wanted to use the Ball play/foam factory area. This attraction along with a show theater replaced the dark ride when it was removed. My niece had fun and some adults seemed to get into it but like most of the playgrounds the adults just watched. After leaving we made our way to the Ocean of Fun area and road the turtle twirl then made or way further in to the Farm area to get a ride on the tractor ride. For some reason my nice didn’t want to ride the Crazy barn, which was a surprise, she did want to watch the farm fillies show but we kept missing the shows times. We did however see the circus show. The Show is produced by the Royal Hannaford circus. The acts are all new except for one, the quick change act. The new acts consisted of a dog trick act which my presents believe they saw on Americas Got talent a couple season ago, a girl performing with hula hoops, and a family of acrobats using a teeter totter to do stunts. My niece was saying she was hungry to it was time to grab lunch/snack. Thing was the lighthouse snacks is no longer a snack shop. It’s not Lighthouse Pizza. The prices were a bit high ($3 slices, $6.99 2 slices and drink combo) and my niece was asking for her tradition al hot dog so we went else ware We headed down to the food fair to get a quick bit. All the food stands got new signs. The park switched this year from Pepsi to coke. And prices are up from a couple years ago. We bought 2 hot dog combos (dog and small fries) 4.99 each, a single hot dog 2.99, a large drink 2.99, and I got a refill on my souvenir cup .99 cents. Total 16.95 + 9% meal tax. After out meal we Hit the Circus show I talked about earlier. The day was for my nice. So we hit rides she asked to ride. He hit the Balloon Ferris wheel before making our way to the Carousel. My niece used the Pirate playground before walking up the Cinderella’s Castle. From there we made out way through the story book Animal area on our way to the Bah-Bah Black ship school house and finally to the Ball plat at the Little Dreamers play area. The operating day was coming to an end and we made our way around to the Cuckooclockinspiel Tea cup ride and wrapped up the day with 3 rides on the Polar coaster. With the park closed my parents took my niece to the Tree house playground in the front of the park. I stayed behind to get a few final photo around the park and to take the last Train run around the park. In all it was a wonderful day. I think some of the new pricing might be a bit high, at least for my taste. I would have liked to get then earlier then we did and would like to see the park consider opening till 6:30 or 7 at night. Some of the changes I found annoying but in all do they really matter. At a family park the one this that is truly important is the child you are accompanying, and she had a blast.
  18. Noise restrictions were what peg said, The park told dave it was Maintenance scheduling. both are a little bit on nonsensical since the coaster opened at 9:30 in Jun during the school group days. It was a nice day. those who did attend seemed happy with the corkscrew and mine of lost souls ERT. but wanted at lest a set up to get at least one exclusive ride on cannonball. Maybe next time. with no event since 2001 this a harder sell for the park to go a lot.
  19. Check out the full photo album and gt additional info about some of the parks attractions when you view then in large format. photos @ newwhalom.com Canobie lake Park July Trip Report
  20. It was ACE day at Canobie and I was eager to visit the park. I have not signed up for the event do to the price(40 with picnic) but figured I’d use one of my holiday tickets to visit the park and hang out with my fellow ACErs. ACE had a good turn out 34 is you include myself. I got to the park at 10:20 and I met up with the ACE group. I basically became the photographer for the ERT event. The day included morning ERT on Corkscrew and Min of Lost Souls, the parks dark ride. The park took over most of the Gift shops this year and in turn they got rehabs. The latest one to open is the store in the Canobie mall. Now the Pink Lady it’s a gift show geared towards the female guests. The shop is not open air and the wall to the outside has been removed. The group had a picnic set up for noon so for the first hour of the day I hung out with a few of them and hit the rides on that side of the park. When the group went off to their picnic I took in the Jackpot Casino and its AC. There I ran into A long time employee Anna, She has been working at the park as a casher, and long time information booth employee. She now handles the redemption counter at the jackpot. We talked about park employee past and present as well as talked about the owners of the park. It was pleasure to talk to an employee with such love for the park. I had expected to get a phone call so I walked over to the picnic ground and looked to see if the ACE group was still there. The employee at the entrance was nice enough to let me in so I could check in. I spent some time there talking to the other ACE members that were in attendance and took the opportunity to get a nice shot of cannonballs fist drop on an angle you can’t get inside the park. After some time chatting it was back to rides. We kept this up until it was time to see the park headliner show, Michal Jackson. Before the show started there was sort of a commercial/preview video that talked about the other shows, the parks Halloween event Screeemfest, and the recently amounted October fest running form Sept 18th through October. The show is fantastic. The performer has been doing Jackson for 18 years and has portrayed him in performances around the word as well as playing him in Scary Movie 3 and 4. The show covered some of his biggest hits with thriller having the best reaction from the packed ball room. While I didn’t plan on it I accompanied other to Portofino’s for dinner. Most of then got Spaghetti and meatballs and salads along with soda to drink. One group for one meal, salad, and 2 drinks was around $21 with tax. There was an extra charge for a second package of dressing. After dinner it was off to hit rides and fill the rest of the night. After riding cannonball I split up for a while to get some video of the park rehabbed Ferris wheel. It Know sports LEDs and an amazing light show. The rehab was a great move it was an attraction of its own with many standing around watching it. I hit the Fireworks Hit star blaster and headed back to cannonball. The park was staying open an extra hour so the park didn’t close till 11. The Carousel was the last ride of the night. I was happy to see the band organ back up and running. I also noticed the carousel main arms for the Jumpers were either majorly rehabbed or replaced. Glad to see the parks oldest ride getting some love. Now if they can just remove the rug form the platform. Most of the ACErs that started the day meet up at the end of the day at the entrance plaza before leaving. In all it was a great day with heavy but manageable crowds. I had expected it to be much worse. All rides were open and employees were great. Ride count Skater 1, Davinci’s Dream 2, Caterpillar 1, PhycoDrome 1, Flume 1, Antique cars 1, Blue Heron Lake Crouse 1, Turkish twist 1, Sky ride 1, Train 1, Star blaster 1, Cannonball 3, Carousel 1.
  21. That was a mix up on the papers side. He road the coaster 3 days before the park closed. The first goal is to build a museum and attached entertainment attraction. Pier Park is a good example of returning a small attraction in place of a lost attraction. jmicha - The park was making money. The park was paying all operating expenses through the corporate picnics every other General guests was pure profit. At it's small size it wasn't hard to make money. But, the park fell into corporate hands who with effort took majority control of the park. they then rain down teh park and set their sights on selling developers.
  22. Ya Poor land sea rescue. though I feel Canobie missed out on a huge opportunity. I feel they should have removed the rides, since it's a repeat style, and added a mere family friendly attraction .
  23. I want to give them a bit of the benefit of the doubt. there was a lot of obvious damage form the wind storm. The new Machine in teh coaster chase spot was Just delivered by Bobs space racers just before opening. But there were small things that seemed like easy clean ups that could and should have been done in my mind.
  24. It seems those who got to the park form 1:30 to 12:00 got in reasonably quickly. but after that it seems most of Eastern New England figured Canobie was the place to be on a nice day.
  25. Opening day had finally come to Canobie Lake Park in NH. The weather predictions were beyond positive and we set out early to beat the crowds and get to the park for opening. Though in our efforts we got there a hour before the park opened. I went with a larger group, older brother, younger brother, sister in law and their 3 children. We then meet up with friends later in the day. That brought our group to 9. I got 3 tickets for today and 2 tickets to use later in the year. Cost $88 with the opening day sale. I was given the wrong tickets originally but since they were folded I didn’t notice right away. But it was easy fixed with more apologies then needed. I didn’t have a camera which was a shame a lotto of little thing have been worked on around the park. So I will try and simplify the report a bit. Rides down: Xtreme Frisbee, Pirata, Crazy cups, Kiddie boats, Kiddie jeeps. New Things: 2 new games: 3 point challenge is located next to Xtreme Frisbee were High striker and Guess your weight were last year. Paintball Alley will replace the Put Put challenge in the Canobie Village. It was not ready for opening and should be up and running by Mothers day. There were some game changes this year. The park rehabbed a couple games. Long shot got new hoops. Coaster chase got a new Machine. High sticker will be reinstalled later in the season. Guess your weight will go in storage for now. Food: I only got refills myself, $1.00 dollar + tax. There is a new food stand in Canobie Village. Chicken Coop replaced the Pick ax Pub. A Chicken Basket with fries is 8.75 and flavors like Buffalo and Teriyaki are 9.85. I have one complaint though. By now nearly every food stand offers baskets. Meaning you get the meal and the fries. I’m not a snacker but I also don’t always want a larger meal. It would be nice to have the option of getting the Burger or Chicken fingers without fries. Especially those wavy/crinkle fries I don’t like. Park Improvements: The park took over the larger Gift shops. So they are being renovated. The carousel gift shop in Old Canobie Village has a new floor. The Wood walkway in font of it and the connected ice-cream stand was replaced. The midway in front of it was regarded/raised nearly a foot so that the walkways are even. The ice-cream stand also has a new accessible window for guests who can’t reach. The building that houses both also received a huge makeover and new wood. The railing was new on the wake a mole building. Not sue id that was planed or do to damage caused by the wind storm a couple months back. The park lost a lot of trees in that storm and fresh cut stumps were obvious around the park. I looked around the side of the park and there was at least 10+ cords of wood stacked up. There were also limbs missing form many of the trees around the Flume. Mine of lost souls had nearly every effect working. Only the water effect at the end was not working and the audio was very good. Better then years past. Overall day: The park was very busy. But lines moved fast. Most flats were 2-4 cycles long similar to a summer day. Food stands all had lines and some moved very slowly. Rides that were open ran well but a few ride cycles seemed short. Davinci’s Dream seemed particularly short. Cannonball was working well and ran reasonably smooth. Corkscrew is getting rougher. Bumper cars and Zero gravity had a few glitches but were worked out quickly. Rides put off by the down time were allowed to get right back on if they stayed. Though not all the ride experiences were positive; Double riders on the flume are now required to sit together in the front. This is not needed on a Hopkins flume and only causes the boat to bottom out most of the ride. The park also changed the Height requirement. Rider 36in and under are no longer allowed to ride with an adult. So this kept us from bringing my 2 nieces on the ride. I wish that was the only disheartening event with rides but it wasn’t. When we went to bring the girls on Baja Buggy/Jump around we were told to get off. The extra height requirement said 36 to ride alone. We waited in line for a wile in eye shot of the team lead. In all it wouldn’t have been a problem if he had not waited till the girls were on and stabbed in before saying something we were within eye shot the entire time. So with 8 Minutes left we wanted to grab one last ride. Looked at Cannonball and its line was shut down with a full queue. So we ran over to Star blaster. The main line was shut so we walked to the secondary entrance used on busy days. We waited till 2 of and heard an announcement of the park closing. We were after that told to leave the line, seem they shut that line down early also. But at closing there was only 2-3 cycles left so only about 5 minutes of people. So this was just annoying. I confronted the team lead in Kiddie land before leaving I was not going to make any argument in front of the kids in the area it’s not a good example. I also talked to one of the park owners about the height confusion and suggested they look into it and state the requirements more clearly. In all this was not my best visit. But it was good to be back. I have 2 more tickets and an ace event to hit this year. Hopefully the problems well be worked out. Early ride closures are not needed. I think they also need to think about having more time/hours opening day and stay open past 6. There just wasn’t enough time in the 7 hours the park was open. Rides hit 1x – Cannonball, Mine of Lost Souls, Flume, Zero Gravity, Caterpillar, Skater, Turkish Twist, and Boston Harbor Patrol (With my 2 nieces)
