  1. I was at the park opening day and made it in. though I got there at 10:15. So I never saw crowds till I rode Cannonball at 11:30. I'll have a TR posted later today but no pics.
  2. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Hope you got a chance to look over the Photo page. I added some great captions with info on the park to the Photo view pages.
  3. The Journey to the Moon was a dark ride. It ran off a coaster style track with cars similar to that of Pretzell. You were lifted (blasted) up towards the moon the cannon had a screen with images and a shot of the Old B&W From the earth to the moon shot of the capsule hitting the moons eye. You the slowly road down teh track through a few sets. Most notable a whistling dragon taking a bath. Some set pieces like the safari's air mail, started as a robot in the moon ride. I associated the ride strongly to the original Journey into imagination at Disney's EPCOT. The Attraction had one higher end Animatronic and that was the Wizard (the one that took you on your journey) He came towards the end of the rides life span replacing a hand animated wizard which was what was at the beginning of the ride. The ride was removed for one main reason and that was because it was too low capacity and could not be easily upgraded. Though it was a dated ride it still pulled hour lines which was something the park did not want. Normally lines are kept to 20-25 minutes even on the busiest of days. I hope this info helps They did not bring in a new dark ride. instead a Foam factory and stage was added to the dome. The only Dark ride in The White mountains is The Holly humbug Adventure. and interactive Dark ride at Santa's Village. Feel free to look over my profile I have TR form all the NH park. I also recently posted a TR from Nor Easter last month. I have a great Photo gallery up on line for that event.
  4. I have updated the photo page with more images and sub pages to display the larger images. they not have captions to explain the photos. I also added navigation to make viewing the large images easier. Hope you all enjoy it. Check it out here
  5. I'm always happy to get another enthusiastic viewer. even 6 months latter. It's an easy day trip from southern VT. Maybe 3 hours drive. the park is owned by Kennywood. It was sold a few years ago after the owner fell ill. It's well worth a trip. Might want to make a weekend of it since there are other attractions like Clark's Trading post and Santa's Village which are also well worth a visit. I have trip reports posted from those attractions as well. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding New England attractions and parks.
  6. This weekend I attended Ace New England’s Nor Easter event. The event was hosted this year by Lake Compounce in Bristol CT. I Missed the beginning of the event the driving time after picking up my friend was nearly 3 hours. Lake the last Nor Easter held at the park we were allowed to drive through the park to the ball room. I opted to park next to the parks new wipeout ride. Seems I didn’t miss much, the mingling time and the Q&A game. Though it seems this game was used to announce the addition to Santa’s Village which I already new about and more. There was an update on events then The presentation by Lake Compounce. Santa’s Village – The park is investing nearly 1.3 million with one new attraction, one returned attraction and many capital improvements. New this year is Ho Ho H20 an Interactive play structure form White Water West the attraction will cost $900,000 to buy and install. Returning is the Jingle Jamboree Animatronic show with new animatronics by Advanced Animatronics. The upgrade is expected to cost around $200,000 dollars. Capital improvements will be a new floor at the St Nicks Church, Polar Expresso is coming to the Polar Express station, and the Former arcade will transform into a First Aid and Guest Services center. Jerry Brick (LC) – Last year added fiber lines and new restrooms to the park. It was a tough year for the park. Capital improvements continue to be implemented Investing 700K in Bathrooms (by wipeout), Saw mill new roof, Ferris wheel rehab, new games, paint, and kiddie land fencing (if it arrives on time). Rd work, Boulder dash got 750 ft of retracking, Wildcat got some work. The park also got an extra train, a new CP Huntington from Chance. The Park will Continue to operate the Train bought off Wild West World and Story Land will Rehab the trains for them and finish the park Original train. Haunted Graveyard should still be around for 2-3 more years on the contract. Could be 2-3 years before the next coaster, Jerry wants a family friendly coaster that can accommodate guests in a 42-48” height range. The park had to destroy the Garfield props, kiddie land will remain Circus world. New trains for boomerang (300K), Story land - They want to get something going with the heritage building. The park will have new shows through RWS. From what I was told at the end of last season by park management is the 2 live shows will be switched out as 2 acts will leave the circus and be replaced by new acts. We took a brake form the presentations and jerry took us around for a park tour. It was cold and raining but the tour stayed primarily to the Maintenance area. We got a full tour of the main building which is used for maintenance, upstairs offices, and the sign shop. The shop had some interesting things rapids boat getting new tub, car ride chasse, storage area with ride parts. It was fun to look at all the new and used parts. We looked through the other buildings. The food storage building was doubling as a rehab building to put the finishing touches on the Ferris wheel gondolas. The park has a paint shop with booth to allow then to do more then paint signs and simple rehabs. We also saw a secondary maintenance shop. They were working on Thunder and Lightning’s car at the time. A few interesting facts the shop was built in house and the Building is heated off of waist oil. I and a few others took an opportunity to look at a little of the Haunted graveyard as well as get a back stage shot of the flume. We worked our way around the front of the park to the Dance hall and got on with the presentations. SFNE – Larry Litton - There was a mud slide at the park, 2011 could see a coaster but they don’t know, they remodeled the snack shop, Granny may. New Johnny Rockets in water park, (water park needs more food stands). There is a new kiddie area in water park (Mr 6 Splash Island) Kiddy wave pool, river, and splash pad, interactive water jets. There is a new Mr 6 game show going into the Rockville Gym. Other shows Starburst Concert Series is back and the Glow in the Park Parade is returning with a new float. There will be a new East end entrance parking lot entrance. Park is pushing further along to go green. Ware house (Malty Million Dollar with offices, entertainment offices, 40,000 sqft, food storage. This is a new Level of Flash Pass the Platinum pass (100 sold a day, ride 2 rides in a row, pretty much no wait), SFTV will get added to one other area(expanded park wide 2011). There were a few In ACE presentations and the Raffle. The Raffle had passes to story Land, Santa’s Village, Six Gun City, after 5 passes to Quassy, as well as other small things. The last presentation came form the New Whalom Park Ownership Program. New Whalom Park Ownership Program – Scott Lanciani/ Michael Coutermarsh – The Presentation was an update on the original Whalom property. As well as giving notification of the plans the group is working on. The big news is the Groups Event Series and that the Launch even is a dance night being held in Gardner, MA. (Event Series Page, RSVP on Facebook). There is also a new web page, newwhalom.com, which was launched at the beginning of the year. There is a Museum in the works with an attached FEC. This move was in reaction to the City forcing the move forward to build the condos on the parks main property. The program will continue to move forward. In all it was a good day. Weather wasn’t great in fact the drive home was a nightmare. There are a lot of small but positive moves being made by all the parks. I had a good day and I would like to thank Jerry for his support of ACE and creating a great event. View More Photos - http://www.newwhalom.com/Photos/NorEaster2...easter2010.html
  7. Having not been to Clark’s Ina couple years I wanted to make it up there this year. I opted to go on A special event Weekends. The event Rail road Weekend, a weekend were the Clark Family puts it all out there so to speck for all who visit can see. The event featured all the Locomotives train engine the family owns on display as well as Most of them fired up. A Some locomotives were used to do special round weather it be a short back property track run to a event only Double header(2 locomotive on one train) operation on some trips. The park was running with cars normally kept on display such as their caboose. Clark’s Trading post while often referred to as an Amusement or Theme park is actually a long standing Road side attraction. The Attraction is one of the oldest in New England with 81 years of operation, 60 years of operation their of bear shows), and 51 year operating the White Mountain Central RR ( The train line). Will all that history it’s easy to forget Clark’s started simply as an Eskimo sled Dog ranch and soon a large trading post. See the whole Trip report and a video form the REO Speedwagon here: http://s6.zetaboards.com/New_Whalom_Park/t...x=0#post8001158
  8. A quick update. Took in a few hours at the park last Sunday closing weekend for the park. Mild crowds but the park was in full swing. no new news form last trip. shows seem to be a priority over rides. So who knows when teh park will add another ride.
  9. Wanting to get out for a cheap day a friend and I opted to make our way to Story Land In Glen, NH. I had a season pass and she gets in free since she is in a wheel chair. We didn’t rush out and got to the park around noon. The Weather was nice compared to Southern New England that was being bombarded by rain. At Story Land cloudy and worm a perfect park day. Our day was simple get pictures hit some rides. Just get away for the day. So we set out on our day. In all we had a good day. I hit a lot of rides while my friend opted to hang back. She rode the Ferris wheel Carousel and train (last ride of the day) that were wheelchair ready, She also road the safari ride. I hit the Bamboo chutes (Flume) multiple times. I also got one ride on Dr Geysers (Rapids ride), Crazy barn, Flying fish (scooters), Turtle Twirl, the Los Bravos Silver Mine. I took in 13 rides on the Polorcoaster. I also hit all the rides my friend did. My favorite ride in the park outside of the coaster is the Cuckoo Clockenspeil. The attraction is a custom Tea cup ride. The ride is wrapped half inside and half outside of a custom, in house built giant cuckoo clock. The park was looking pretty good. After talking to one of the Managers, they said they switched up some of the plants, and it seems to have worked well. The park looks highly landscaped even in the late season. The park was well cared for except for a few walkways that should be replaced by next season. The live shows were over for the season. We watched the only show they have. Farm Follies is an Animatronics show created specifically for Story Land. It’s a fun show with catchy songs that teach you how things work at a farm. here is a segment of the show: One thing I was thrilled about this trip was a few additions made since my last one. They installed all the Statue windmills that used to be in front of the Heritage. 2 were added inside the car ride, one was by the Balloon Race, and another was added in the farm area. I ask about next year, there are no plans for a new ride setup at this time. That doesn’t mean they won’t get one. The circus show will be back for another season with 3 new acts. The 2 live shows will also be replaced with something new. In all it was a good day and I hope I can get one more trip in before the end of the season.
  10. I look forward to reading that report. I can't say I'm offended by Excalibur being slightly better in any ones mind. to be look at on par given the 66 year age gape isn't too bad. I woudl like to see canobie get a couple more thrill rides and they really need another coaster. Look at the new wave blaster. they opt to get the mild family ed version from zamperla as apposed to goign with a more intense more thrilling version form say Larson. but what they are doing seems to be working well for them/ Attendance is high and they have started drawing families from further out/ i talked to a family from Worcester who was bringing there family form New Mexico. They had no plans to go to SFNE do to the prices. Canobie is not the best park I have been to but is it no were close to the worst. i have been to 27 parks form New England to Texas.
  11. i always welcome comments to my trip reports. Though I have never found myself wanting to defend the park I have reported before now. for ages 4-11? Now I admit this impression can be do to personal taste, but that age rage is a bit ridiculous. I would not put Canobie in the same age race as I would say put Santa's Village. True they only have 3 rides you might go wow that is really thrilling. though towards the thrilling end your looking at 5 thrill rides. The ride selection is more deserve then you will find at most parks. They have more dry park rides then any other park in New England. that includes SFNE. If your only looking for thrill rides and care about nothing else you might want to do an after 5 deal on a slow day and hit what you can in the 5 hours left in the day. But if your into parks, rides, shows, etc Canobie is right up your ally.
  12. The Simplest show we saw was the Kids show, Imagination Generation. The park was pack so the show was also. It has one good trick and a lot of cheesy extras. The show unfortunate catered to the very young and served to be of little interest to anyone above the age of around 7. Past kids shows didn’t have this problem. The girls who performed the show were enthusiastic and added some value to the show but they were simply given nothing to work with. Lyrix – Country Remix was on the western/Village stage. It’s the same Lyrix group form last year with Dan Sky who has been at the park for years now. Featuring country music the show was good. Likely the best Show featuring Dan Sky the park has had. The show seemed to be we received, people watching new the songs and seemed eager to sing along. I liked the music selection though I dislike the use of Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy in a family setting. Mystique is the park big show this year. Taking place in the Ballroom and drawing a standing room only crowd both shows I visited. The show was fantastic. Finally a Park is offering a Magic show that can compete with David Garrity’s Illusion Quest show. Ben Murphy is a great performer, energetic and a joy to watch. The tricks were well done offering a range of tricks and illusions. The Assistants were good performers, though some of the choreography was not well thought out. Some of the dancing seemed forced and made little sense given the theme of the Illusion about to take place. The finale was a water chamber escape trick. Interesting overall but the more then 2 minutes elapse time seems very long after the quick passed Illusions that preceded it. I am thrilled they added this show and will make a point, the first time in 4 years, to return and see it again. The unique show on my trip was the Saturday Night Fireworks. The park has this show every Saturday Form the 4th of July through the end of August. The show was amazing, the best show I have seen in a while. On caliber with the 4th July shows put on only once a year. The fireworks varied in size, height and style. Extremely well rounded and well choreographed to the music. The crowds that have congregated along the water front and around Davinci’s Dream were very receptive and had nothing but good things to say about the show after it was done. In all the day went well. I got a fair number of rides in despite the heavy crowds. The employees were working hard and the lines moved quickly. The show selection is the best the park has had in years and the new Wave blaster is a nice addition though not an amazing ride. But it’s nice to see the ride count go up. I have at least 2 trips planed before the end of September. I will take advantage of the 19.99 pre sale for Screemfest. Photos coming soon! Enjoy this video while I get the photos together.
  13. After many delayed trips I finally made my second trip f the year to Canobie Lake Park. Originally planed to be a big group outing with 7-9 people it had dwindled down to just one friend and myself. We chose a Saturday with a goal to see the show and check out this years Fireworks display. We got to the park just after the 11:00 opening and the parking lot was just about full. Before the end of the day they filled the overflow Kelley’s field and utilized the new grass lot added last year. Worked well despite the bit crowd’s people did not need to be bussed in. We got a parking spot in front and made our way to customer service. I paid the $30 admission for myself and my friend got in for $21 since she is in a wheelchair. After entering we had to make our way to the customer service area inside the park to get hr a band. I feel a bit sorry for the girl working at the window who had to come outside. Not that it’s hot out but the exit door is on the other side of the building from were we were. All that set we went on with our day. As is a tradition with me I made my way to the parks new Ride, Wave Blaster. The ride is in the location that the autobahn ride once stood. The ride is fun and a nice addition. It’s not an amazing ride though. I would not say it’s a ride to go to the park specifically to ride it. The new kiddies version looks fun as well. Speaking of kiddie rides the park has been gong all out rehabbing Kiddie land. They redid the area behind the stage adding the new ride and rehabbing and reinstalling 2 classic rides, the Fire trucks and pony carts. Kiddie land has new themeing, landscaping, and best of all a new entrance. It was pointed out that the rest of the kiddie land will get work over the next couple years. The lines were very long. Even the less popular ride had 3-4 cycle waits. This was defiantly not going to be a rides day. Though I rode alone on the larger rides and was able to jump up to fill a seat form time to time. I was able to get a fair number of rides in despite the heavy crowds. I got one ride in on Cannonball, Star Blaster, Skater, Phycodrome, Davinci, Boston Harbor Patrol, Pirata, and Wipe out. I skipped a few rides Like Corkscrew and The flume do to noticeably long lines. Since my friend was in a wheel chain and the rides at Canobie are a bit big for her tastes she only went on Mine of Lost Souls twice and the Blue Heron Lake cruse. The lake cruse is the only attraction in the park that is truly Wheelchair accessible. To fill time I played a lot of Skee ball. Mostly in the Lake side arcade. Worked as a good time filler before the cruse came back into dock and before the fire works. I cashed in 369 points not including the 50+ tickets I gave away to other people We only spend money food wise to get dinner. We opted to go to the Dancing Bear. My friend ordered a Jumbo Hotdog meal, I ordered the rib Sandwich, and we refilled a Souvenir cup. Came to $15.81 after tax. Fries were good like always. I thought the Rib Sandwich could have been a little bigger.
  14. Glad you enjoyed them. I'm glad the videos came out so good. My camera started having problems. one video came out nearly viewable.
  15. To add to the trip report I have POV videos of the park's Flume and Coaster. Yule log flume: Rudy's Rapid Transit:
  16. The swings are installed into a new section. it's to the right of where the Ferris wheel used to be. there used to be a field there. The swings are in that location. The ride should be open by July. Across from the swings there is a spray ground that opened last year. There is also a small eatery across form the car ride. The location of the Ferris wheel has a playground now.
  17. We took some time and looked at the new Food stand. Fruit Loups is located between the reindeer barn and the Ferris wheel. You can get drinks, fruit, and the big one for me Apple Crisp Ala mode. The Apple Crisp is only $3.50 and the serving size looked good. I didn’t get a chance to get some though. It’s a must do for my next trip. Lunch was next. We opted to eat at Burger Meister’s since it was in the area. When we entered we noticed they were giving out a Frisbee with the kids meals. A perfect Souvenir we got 2 kids meals, a side of chicken fingers, and a side of onion rings for just over $20 dollars. Not bad for that much food. We went over to ride the train. We did a full circuit. I did take the opportunity to pick up my season pass while the train was stopped at the second station. The park operates a Chance Iron horse on a reasonably large layout. While most of the park is around park rides and buildings one section actually travels over a long covered bridge. The rest of the day was rides. My camera started having problems so getting shots form her eon in was getting a bit hard. While I mostly rode by myself my friend got up the courage to ride the Ferris wheel and Sky way sleigh. I rode the Holly humbug adventure a few times. This is a custom interactive dark ride. They upgraded the laser guns recently it’s a bit harder since one lit target needs to be hitting order to activate another one. I noticed a few were hung on angles were the lasers would not activate the target. Though I did well despite a very inaccurate gun on my firs try pulling a 590 score. My next rides were all over a 1000 points and my highest score was 1680. I rode the flume a few times. The Station was redone last year with extra queue and a new on ride photo area. I didn’t get on but $8 dollars for an on ride photo is a great price. I was able to get some photos and a video before my camera started having problems. The rest of the day was spent hitting rides and enjoying the park. We stayed till closing and did some shopping at the gift shop at the exit. In all it was a great day. I look forward to getting back and seeing the spray ground in operation and try out the swing ride. Not to mention get some apple crisp at Fruit Loups. Let me know if you want to see more photos.
  18. Recently I took some time and drove up to Santa’s Village in Jefferson, NH. I got an early start and my friend and I arrived at the park around 11. Despite being early in the season the attendance was looking good for the day. The main parking lot was full and people were being sent to the lot across the street. I opted to get a Tis The Season Pass ($67) dollars and my friend paid for the day. Since she is in a wheel chair she got in at a discount admission was only $12 dollars. When we entered we were sent to the Guest services building to get the pass processed and get a line pass. The pass was going to take a little bit to process so we opted to hit the rides in the corner of the park while it was getting done. I noticed when we got into the area that the Rockn Round the Christmas tree swing ride was taken apart. The structure was the only think on site. Asking Employees it seem the ride needs more work before opening I will post more information when I get it. The spray ground also in the area was off though. I went on the coaster and got a few rides in. they run their coaster with 2 cycles so you always get a good ride. I opted out of the fire brigade and the Red hot racers, though both rides were pulling a good crowed. Both my friend and I opted to ride the antique cars. I love what they did to this ride a few years back. The layout is great. It’s a good length with many things to see. A young girl in one of the passing cars yelled out to warn of the upcoming flooded road. Season pass not ready and knowing I can get it later we made our way to the other side of the park. We lucked out and they were letting people in for the next showing of A Tinkerdoodle Christmas, the parks 3D movie. I noticed right off the bat the stage had been rehabbed since the last time I was in it. It looks fantastic and really ups the quality of the theater. We opted to stay inside and walk through the Arcade and The crafts area. I noticed that the arcade got a new addition, a coin op kiddie attraction. It’s has a Santa, sleigh and 2 reindeer. They all move when turned on. Costs .50 cents to run and seemed to be popular. I rode the SS Peppermint Twist, The park’s Rockn’ Tug ride. The ride just got repainted and looks amazing. The attraction was repainted top to bottom gone are the standard factory colors that came with the ride. They didn’t stop the paint brushes there. I saw fresh paint on a few rides, buildings and the long standing whale fountain.
  19. The park is located in Glen, NH. Which in the White Mountains ,North part of the state. There are 4 other parks in the area Clark's Trading post(actually a road side), Six gun City, and Santa's Village. I will be at Santa's in a couple weeks and will post another trip report. It's a very well done park. The management is very dedicated and do a great job with teh park. There is a good mix of unique and traditional attractions. The sign says 35 acres but the park feels a lot bigger then that. Thanks for all the great comments.
  20. It was around 1:30 and we were hungry. I opted to go through the middle of the park and stopped off at the Cuckooclockinspeil for a quick ride. It’s still the best tea cup ride I have been on, really easy to spin. We then made our way the rest of the way around to the front of the park. We went to the Pixie Kitchen to eat. I often eat a snack at the park and this is the place I go. We ordered 2 chicken and fries combo meals and a souvenir cup. The meal cost up just over $23 dollars after tax. The price of food is way up. For starters in previous year for $2.50 you can get a 22 oz Souvenir cup. Now you have to buy a 36 oz Souvenir cup that offers refills for 99 cents. Slightly cheaper then most local parks but a huge jump compared to the park previous costs. The chicken is also smaller and costs more. 2 years ago I paid just over 6 dollars for a mean (chicken fries and a Souvenir cup) for myself. Despite the increases in prices I opted to upgrade to a season pass. To I paid an extra 45 dollars to cover the 66 dollar coast for a season pass. A nice bonus is I got a pass to get a friend in for $16 Dollars to Story Land. I can also get $8 dollars off a ticket to Water Country and Lake Compounce. We made our way around the right side of the park. This is the true story land area with the animal and story book displays. I hoped on Alice’s Tea Cups on the way by. We then made our way to the carousel which we both rode. From there I stopped by the Shooting gallery and traditional target game with Camera’s instead of guns. While in the Mexican area I did the Los Bravos Silver mind a crooked house walkthrough attraction. For the remainder of the day we hit the rides in the center of the park. I got a number of rides on the polar coaster. It wormed up so I rode the raft ride. We caught the last train as it came around and took it to the front of the park. I noticed a couple of the mangers I new in front so I talked to them for a while. While the park didn’t get a ride they have worked on the info structure a lot. The train line got some new tracking and other work. The Loop lab got a new roof. Though I didn’t see it the park also added a puppet show to the show line up. While not a ride or attraction Mother Nature stepped in to one up the park by sending in the real mother goose. In all it was a good day. Wasn’t too happy to see the increases in prices but the park is still the same great attraction it has always been. Can’t wait to go back! Ride count: My friend – Bamboo chutes x2, Tractor ride x1, Carousel x2, Ferris wheel x2, train x1. I had – Bamboo chutes x6, Tractor ride x1, Carousel x2, Ferris wheel x2, train x1, Crazy Barn x1, turtle twirl x1, Dr Geysers remarkable raft ride x1, Cuckooclockinspiel x1, Alice’s Tea Cups x1, Polar coaster x7. Want more: See more photos here!
  21. With a bigger trip to Canobie falling through my friend Katie, who’s in a wheel chair and I opted to take a drive up to Story land to spend the day. It was quick ride up but a slightly late start of our day. In all we got up to the park at 11:15 and made our way into the main crooked house. They had 2 registers open and we walked up to one that was empty. I paid for myself to get in at the pre season Guest Appreciation price of $21 Dollars. We were then informed that the parks policy is that any one visiting in a wheelchair gets in at no charge. We made our way and back to the rides corner of the park. We made our way to the Bamboo chute. My fiend actually said yes to riding it. They had a team lead come over so they could stop the conveyer so we can get on. This was really the only ride we had to do this with since the Ferris wheel, train, Carousel are already set up to accommodate a wheel chair. After 2 cycles we opted to get off and check out the on ride photo booth. We chose the first of the 2 photos. The Price has gone up on the cost. It’s $10 dollars now up form $8 dollars last year and $7 the year before that. It seamed that under corporate ownership the prices are going up. Noticing the time we opted to make our way to the Hannaford Circus show. Got prime seats right in front. The show was Identical to last year. Good overall but I think the order is a bit off. It’s the Quick change artists, Hula Hooper, Comedy trampoline act, Amazing house cats, and the High wheel. The cats act is a little dull my nice liked it last year. But the act is a bit slow compared to the rest of the acts. Since we were in the area we both rode the Tractor ride. I then rode the Crazy barn by myself. We then went in to see the Farm Follies show. I always like this show. A bit dated nowadays but that doesn’t seem to matter to the kids that haven’t been watching it for 20+ years like I have. I stopped and road the Turtle Twirl since it’s located in the sea area next to the farm area. The Flying Fish were down today. Talking with managers at the end of the day it’s an electrical switch the new part is in and simply needs to be installed should be up and running soon. The turtle Twirls is a great tilt-a-whirl and is one of the best running models I have been on.
  22. Not really since the pain wears off fairly evenly. The coaster still has that aged Intamin shack the painting didn't do anything. On the other hand often when a park goes to the time to repaint a coaster they will also rehab the train and put on new wheel. A rehabbed train with new wheels will run smoother.
  23. This like similar rethemes like that with X and Medusa, Use the same track. this is simply Superman with sound, props, and new paint. best thing would have been to make a trip 6 years ago when Superman was at it's best. before the death that lead to the ankle restraints. The new trains have new lap bats similar to El toro. But there are very snug and they tend to staple you in.
  24. I'f you've ridden Superman and have been on teh change over at SFGAdv you can likely get an idea of how it it. Though SFNE doesn't have that cool looking auger any were. Glad you liked the report. I'm hopping to get out to SFGAdv since I haven't been since 2001. plenty of new coasters to get on. But a few missing flats I wish I could go on again.
  25. Trip report continued! When we pulled in I noticed this new Water park slide. A nice looking Sub. think this is were Ollie the octopus used to be. I was happy to see a couple maintenance workers working on A section of Thunderbolts track. The park has walk around performers The queue line has a few displays telling the story of how Superman Became Bizaro A great looking bizzaro shield is on the wall of the station. The speakers on the new trains. The star attraction of the event. Bizzaro! A couple shots form around the park. See more photos here!
