  1. The Rolling Stones - "Sympathy for the Devil" This song will always be my weakness, and I don't know why.
  2. Billy Idol - "Rebel Yell"
  3. Foster the People - "I Would Do Anything For You" This album's fun, not only because it's really enjoyable pop, but because you know you've heard every song on it somewhere. A commercial, the radio, a trailer, a soundtrack, something. There's a lot of "Wait, THEY did THIS song?!", just like Imagine Dragons' album has.
  4. Back when I joined this site at the age of 11 (and yes, I was just as intolerable as you'd expect), I spent a huge chunk of my free time reading photo TRs, doing research on local parks and the biggest parks I dreamed of going to. RCT1 and 3 had given me an insatiable craving for amusement park stuff, and since I couldn't just ask my parents to drive 300 miles out to Magic Mountain, that was how I tried to feed that craving. Today, I'm in the same boat as you. Hey, that ride's fun, I like it, and that's enough for me!
  5. I just bought Euro Truck Simulator 2 for some reason. I love driving, and it was five dollars, so why not?
  6. Beats Antique - "Daze" Shame I just started listening to these guys, I would have LOVED to see them when they were in town just two days ago.
  7. Devin Townsend Project - "More!"
  8. Grim Luck! - "Isabelle Blue!" I love everything about this album. It reminds me of my days in the local punk scene, getting together with a bunch of friends, blasting our eardrums out, shoving our way to the front of the stage and belting out every lyric with the rest of the crowd... the sense of community and energy is incredible. And this song captures that. It's fast, sloppy, and pretty much made entirely of rough edges; but for what it is, it's perfect.
  9. Ok, wow. I'm kind of stunned right now. The rest of my college education is being covered by the company my dad works for, through a scholarship. I wasn't expecting too much, just a little bump to bring tuition down a notch, not $8,000 a year for three years. This is incredible, I don't even know what to say!
  10. No Country for Old Men was strange. It engrossed and disturbed me, but I can't say that I got it.
  11. DOLL$BOXX - "Take My Chance" I'm not sure what I'm listening to, but I really love it. I think it's J-pop metal, but there's just so much more to it.
  12. Cassandra Wilson - "Strange Fruit" It's an uncomfortable, unsettling song, but it's so incredibly effective in how it portrays the disgusting subject matter. This song made me think of jazz in a new way.
  13. My family switched from Frontier to Comcast for internet about three months ago. I've encountered more issues with connection and speed in these three months than I ever have before. Coincidence?
  14. On one hand, I'm loving the old-school dungeon crawl Legend of Grimrock. The exploration, puzzles, and combat are extremely interesting to me. But on the other hand, I've reached the spider level and am completely OK with the idea of putting it down forever.
  15. John Newman - "Try"
  16. Twilight Imperium 3, round two tomorrow. Bring on the craziest board game I've ever played!
  17. Equilibrium - "Der Ewige Sieg"
  18. Beats Antique - "Overture"
  19. LOVE LOVE LOVE this song. The energy of the chorus is absolutely infectious, and the hints of brass here and there make it feel so complete.
  20. The Glitch Mob - "I Need My Memory Back" I love this new album! It's different enough from Drink the Sea, but still feels like them. It's like if their Crush Mode mixtape was made for the dance floor.
  21. Earth Wind & Fire - "Serpentine Fire" This is one of the odder phases of my musical taste. I don't know what's going on, but I kind of like it.
  22. Phantogram - "Bill Murray" Gotta learn their music before they come to town on the 21st!
  23. After about seven years of tabs and power chords, I decided to try to learn real chords on guitar yesterday, and keep practicing today. I've chosen Of Monsters And Men's singles to learn. Long story short, RIP in piece my fingers. Bar chords and transitions and capos, oh my; I was not prepared for how tricky this is.
  24. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svGtpDFeDoE I don't think I've gone more than a week without listening to this album in the last year or two. It's kind of unhealthy how obsessed I still am. This song in particular just hits every mark for me. It's huge, bombastic, heavy, melodic, and OMG that brass in the final verse. To say it's hard to get into would be an understatement, though, I know it was the last song on the album to click for me.
  25. White Stripes - "Little Ghost" Would have never found this if it weren't for Paranorman. Just another reason to love that movie.
