^ Thank you Rob. Invaluable info I heard a long time ago someone mention their fast pass or exit passes, but eventually thought it was wishful thinking. Is this info available online anywhere, even on their Japanese site? -

Glad you had a great time in Oz. Come back soon. Full marks for getting the Merimbula credit & awesome report. Our parks are by no means crap, they're always fun. Just sometimes we get envious at the mass of coaster & park goodness offered abroad. -

"public liability premiums got so high in NSW, it closed some attractions" Another reason the Blue Moutains coaster will probably take awhile yet to open Hoping I live to see that open one day. -

I'm told the Bugs Bunny water ride closed forever a few months back. Thanks Robb. This was one of the original Eticket type rides at the park. Surprised by this. A new attraction on the way maybe? Glad you seemed to enjoy Movie World, though i'm not there, it makes me happy to see TPR finally rode our Superman & Scooby. -

Wildebeast was awesome. One of, if not the best, water ride i've ever ridden. It was like a Cedar Point or Disney opening in the morning, with a huge percentage just heading for Wildebeast. The lines were massive for this, but i got on in under 30 first thing in the morning by going single rider. Giving me way more coaster time. Would have loved a reride, but couldn't afford the time unfortunately. -
Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
therooboy replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow Dave Remember its all opinions, everyone is entitled there own. Mitch's Poll is a good guide. It's the best guide we have, but still, its only a poll. I have never seen my favorite steel at number 1. -
Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
therooboy replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I found this years poll result one of the most true reflection, in relation to my woodies i've experienced. In previous polls its appeared "fanboyism" & some "anti voting" had taken place (which i know Mitch tries to remove blatant examples). Not saying from TPR users, in fact i think I even recall some anti TPR/T-Express voting from people who hadnt even ridden it. Sorry if i didnt get this bit 100%. Keep up the good work here guys. -
Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
therooboy replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I had it at #6. 2010 was my first year to ride it. I gave it that rating based only on my front train rides. Found the first 2 hills teeth gritting, but after that I really enjoyed the wild ride. I did not enjoy my usual preferred sections on woodies, in the back or middle, anywhere near as much & discontinued riding in those spots due to the excessive roughness. El Toro & Boulder Dash were also new to me in 2010 & were heads above any wood coaster i had ever ridden before, including The Voyage. -
What is your favorite Roller Coaster?

Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
therooboy replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My guess is the reason why Mitch does that is to at least help promote preservation to show the world "Hey! There is a top 20 wooden coaster sitting there... JUST SITTING THERE!!! GO GET IT AND BRING IT TO YOUR PARK!!!" If anything, he probably does more for awareness than ACE does. Also works the opposite in that based on seeing how a crappy ride like Big Dipper ranks in the polls, it doesn't deserve to be saved. (Although I'm sure Prince Desmond would disagree) --Robb lol Agree with most you say here Rob especially the ACE & Prince Desmond mentions. Not saying its worth the $$$ to save, but i didnt think it was in the"crap" coasters department. Have i missed something in all the Save the BIg Dipper threads. -
Mitch Hawker 2010 poll

I found the bar pushing on El Toro was one of those extra lil bonus features unique to El Toro I saw so many people gladly rasing there arms as high as possible, breathing in with all there might trying to fit Very unique, never seen crowds so enthused like that, trying to REALLY fit in & not caring who was watching etc. A credit to the awesomeness of El Toro & Intamin. -
Thanks Robb. Greatly appreciated.

Hey Do Park Chains like Six Flags & Busch do soft openings for new rides ala Disney, before the official opening day. On my trips, I have only ever seen ones that opened up late, never any early. So sorry if this is a common occurence. I will hit Magic Mountain early May & Busch Garden Tampa mid May, so obviously i hope the answer is yes.
