  1. I read the thread, but I didn't recall some of those questions answered. I have a website to offer yea, and I am 16. I figured that would be the hardest obstacle; plus my name isn't hardly out there.
  2. So Robb (or anyone), I'm going to BGT in a month and figured I might as well try asking for the 'ok'. How do you suggest doing it, even if its likely I wouldn't get it. Call? How far ahead of time? What to say? What not to say?
  3. Photo from ParkTrips http://www.coastercravers.com/goliath-sfog-con-4.jpg The trim is in the base of a valley. The other B&M hypers that are trimmed are trimmed from a trim on the hill higher up. Those are just for stopping the train in the case of a stall so it doesn't rock back and forth forever. I guess that's what your talking about, unless more trims have shown up.
  4. I like the idea of a trick track, but I don't know how to execute it. As for the banking, thats pretty much the only thing I've yet to do with it. Most of it won't be banked that much. The most laterals pulled now is 2.6. About 1.3-1.5 is my favored goal.
  5. Alvarez Hey, its been awhile for me and NL. I can't do shit with hands so I kind of sort of learned elementary. I used HSAK and Red's dip and hat formulas. There are alot of problems with it. It doesn't have any pumps, but there are 3 minute twitches. You really can't tell they're there even in a back seat. The other main problem is the horizontal lead-ins with the turning hills. It also doesn't flow very well as far as radius's go. http://nldc.interfix.net/p1488 A few stats: top speed-62mph max height-156' max drop height-138' max negative g-'-1' max positive g-'+3.5 ' length-4536' max vertical angle-55* moments of airtime-15 seconds of airtime-(roughly) 20 seconds lowest speed in circuit-28mph (mcbr) What the Construction Kit has to say: -----TRACK--------------------------------------------------------------------- Track Style....: Wooden Coaster (Classic 4 Seat) Track Length...: 1,382.50m (4,535.70ft) Trains.........: 2 Cars per Train.: 5 Closed Circuit.: Yes Run Mode.......: Continuous -----TRACK AREA---------------------------------------------------------------- Cubic Area.....: 64.16m (210.51ft) x 46.58m (152.82ft) x 424.21m (1,391.75ft) Highest Point..: 47.54m (155.97ft) Lowest Point...: 0.96m (3.15ft) -----LAYOUT-------------------------------------------------------------------- Inversions.....: 0 Tunnels........: 0 Lift Hills.....: 1 -----SEGMENTS------------------------------------------------------------------ Total..........: 452 Normal.........: 438 Station........: 1 Lift...........: 10 Transport......: 0 Brake..........: 3 At the moment, the track is closed. I want to be able to solve those problems aforementioned before I start supports and 3ds. I hope to start supports tonight. The layout is pretty much set unless someone comes up with this grand idea or something. If you want to take a ride as is, either hit me up on AIM or MSN or leave your email.
  6. Well this is a bit out-dated and I know you guys go through cams pretty quick. Any changes from above? I'm looking into the HC-40 and RebelXT soon.
  7. I typed 'Roller Coaster' into Google and came up with NoLimits.
  8. Before you do it, print this one out. I just found an error in the one you have. Disp “SOLVE FOR” Disp “1 SPEED:” Disp “2 HEIGHT:” Input “”,A If A=1 Goto 1 If A=2 Goto 2 Lbl 1 Input “DROP HEIGHT:”,H Input “LIFT SPEED:”,L ‘square root of’ H*.3048*9.81/.5)*2.2369363*.864+L=V Disp “DROP SPEED IS:”,V Stop Lbl 2 Input “DESIRED SPEED:”,V Input “LIFT SPEED:”,L (((V/2.2369363)2 *.5/9.81)+L)*3.2808=H Disp “HEIGHT IS”,H Stop Remember that the 2 after the (V/2.2369363) is a square and not a *times by 2*. The = sign at the end of each formula is not really an = sign, its a > arrow sign. Get it by going to *2nd* *CATALOG* and finding the = sign.
  9. Actually, friction is in there, its the .864 part. Take the formula and plug in real life examples and you'll see they come out pretty accurate. When you do it with Raging Bull, its within 0.25 of a mph. The only one it gets a little off on is Silver Star. I'm still trying to figure out why.
  10. I have the TI-83. And yea, Mario won't work on mine.... If there is a version of Mirage that is applicable with mine, I've yet to find it.
  11. I can't put APPS on it becuase my calculator doesn't recognize some of the symbols used in them. But yea, I don't have an APPS button.
  12. And you are quite lucky. My calculator was given to me for free from someone who had just got out of college. Though mine can take and make programs, it can't handle applications. So no Mario for me..
  13. Joe, you can do the program too, I'm sure you know how to do it but if you don't; the only difference is probably how to get to "PRGM". Hit "APPS", then press '8'. Sorry if you allready knew. I've got programs too to walk me through tests, they take all the pain away. I've got one program that acts just as if it were clearing your memory, but then it doesn't. Our teachers have us clear our memory so when they come around and see that, I'm home free! Life is good.
  14. Prolly yea, you could control the gs, but you'd have to have a whole corn field!
  15. Yes, this particular program will tell you how fast you will go from a certain height. For example, at 208' you will hit about 74mph with a lift speed of 6mph. At 310' you will hit 98mph with a lift speed of 15mph. Vice versa; if you know how fast you want to go, then you use the 2nd branch (2) of the program to find how high you need to be to get to a certain speed. Its meant for NoLimits but it can be used just to screw around with. Heh, if you were 5280' in the air, your speed would be 350mph at the bottom. I hope to be able to make programs that do draw coasters with graphs, right now I've no idea how to do it or execute it. If possible, it would be like; you want a lift X steep X high, a drop X long and X steep, a hill X tall and X wide, an overbank with X force and X bank, ect. You would just input what element you want and the variables on each. Its complicated and won't happen for a LONG time.
  16. Well, here they are. I've been working on them off and on for about 2 months now. If your having trouble getting them to work properly or something of the sort, PM/Email/IM me and we'll work it out. 17. I doubt you could link the videos to here, that would be supporting rule-breaking POVs. Contact each other about them, www.putfile.com is nice place. You can put 20 meg files on there.
  18. Haha, "Waleebee World!" Was that a buring wallet near the beginning? Its seems like some of the euro parks you went to you were just kinda...blah about them, and then the major ones(like this) you guys were all happy and funnier. Is it like that or just me imagination?
  19. When you contact the PRs, what do you say? Do you do it by phone or email?
  20. Hey, what WERE those crazy looking little footchoppers on SheiKra for?
  21. Ahh, sorry then. What kind of camera is it?
  22. Great pics but how come you guys don't use a real camera instead of taking screenshots from your videos? Or at least thats what it seems you do. Kumba is awesome and also my favorite Beemer. Its pacing is the best I've seen on a looper and its the only zero-g-roll I've been on that had................zero-gs.
  23. I use Nero 6 Ultra that came with my DVD burner. Its nice and all but theres alot missing; speed-up/slow-down, overexposed transitions, only half the text styles included work, ect. As said above, its not the program, its the shots and editing. You can make an awesome movie with WMM (as long as you don't use the blue screen) that you could do just the same with the $700 Adobe. Sure, you can grow more with the better programs but stick with the $100 programs for now. The videos I've done and put online have been some of the favorites on the sites hosted, thing is, I got the program for free. Its amazing how good you can become with editing between first starting and now. I started about 6 months ago and did nothing but added covering music. Now I do videos w/o a clip over 3 seconds! The key is time. If you stay up till 4am working on a 3 minute video, no problem.
  24. Not if you build it sideways, plus, the update is coming out soon, before spacing becomes an issue.
