  1. Although it would make a good addition to the park, since they don't have a big launched coaster anything like it, I kinda doubt that an accelerator (even a smaller one) will be built at any Cedar Fair park, since we all know how much Kinzel LOVES Dragster Although, does anyone know what Kinzel thinks of Xcelerator? If he is pleased with it, maybe a smaller scale rocket isn't impossible. Although, everyone in Ohio has probably heard of Dragster, so would they really be able to market it very well?
  2. Thanks, that mean something coming from you, you're the best RCT3 park maker here. I guess even though I personally like PNG better, I'll switch to JPGs in the next update.
  3. Sorry for the double post, and also sorry that I haven't posted an update in a while. Anyway, I wanted to post this on memorial day, but I was too lazy. However, that gave me time to get alot more work done on the park. Alot has changed. You can see most of the additions in this shot. First, let's look at some of the more minor improvements. A seating area near Screamliner's first turn. A brand new... ...mini bowling alley! X Rail finally had the second tunnel replaced by the train bridge theming I promised ages ago. X Rail snakes through it's fith inversion. A new flat ride in Action City, Cyclone. Themed to storms and weather. Co-incidentaly, the same day as I made it, a storm hit, another hit again today, and it's gonna rain through next weekend. On-ride shot. It's a Chance SeaStar. This amphithetre was just built in Action City next to Stinger. The seating area. It can hold 68 people sitting, and probably well over 100 including standing room. The half-dome that makes up the actual amphithetre. The park's newest coaster is Desperado, an S&S woodie. The ride winds around trees and flys right by Quicksilver (the dive machine). The ride is visable throughout the park. After this bunny hill it enters a twisting section. The twisting section is mainly back and forth 45 degree turns. At the speed you take it, I could imagine that 1, this would be the roughest part of the ride, and 2, it would feel like a trick track from hell. Bunny hop and even more relentless twists. Maybe they don't look like much, but the train FLYS over these final bunny hops. If you've rode Magnum at CP or S:ROS at SFNE, I would say it goes over the bunny hops faster then those two rides do. Another shot of the bunny hops. The entrance is themed to an old west fort. Eventually there will be billboards here. While waiting in line, you will be entertained by anamatronics caught up in a shoot-out in the desert. The station. Notice the ride op booth in the tower. The ride is even more of a beast at night, and although it doesn't even break 50 miles per hour, it keeps it's speed until the end. wallpapers.zip And here is a few shots that 800x600 just couldn't do justice. Use em' as your wallpaper if you want.
  4. You know, will we ever see Seaworld Hawaii?
  5. Stands for "general public", which is someone who isn't a coaster enthusist, or in this case, someone who isn't staying at one of Cedar Point's on-site hotels, and thus cannot get into the park an hour early.
  6. Wow, Maverick looks awesome. With the heartline roll gone, I was alot less excited about the ride, but it just goes so fast throughout the ride, and that first drop looks incredable
  7. Since I don't have NoLimts, can you tell me something? It looks like a sit down coaster, but do you go up the lift hill upside down?
  8. That's Cedar Fair alright, breaking a woodie after less then a month of operation I actualy almost typed "braking", as in trim brakes instead of "breaking' like breaking down there. Ofcourse, Cedar Point brakes rides (particulary woodies) as well
  9. I don't know why, but I'm thinking Predator at Darien Lake.
  10. In the latest update, atleast the final turn is still there. Look at the left hand side of the first picture.
  11. Would it be possible for someone to upload the video to YouTube? I can't seem to get into the site. Also, thanks for the warning about Halloweekends Carnage, but do you know what the crowds are like on Halloweekends in September? Still bad, or any better?
  12. They also have too many red painted rides, the majority of which (Magnum, Dragster, Iron Dragon, and Mantis) form a blanket of red track across the gemini midway and over to the main midway and into frontier trail. Then there is Maverick seperated from those four in the back. I also hear there actually repaintig Millennium Force red
  13. It was only for North America. Or possibly just for Sheikra's specific layout. One of those, but I'm not sure which.
  14. Since we are talking about B&Ms, the next Dive Machine is supposed to go in next year at Chimelong Paradise (the park in China that cloned Colossus). RCDB reports on it here.
  15. Does anyone know if Firehawk actually ended up opening today?
  16. Yah, half of the magnetic brakes failed and the trains smashed together at 20 miles per hour. On topic, it would suck to have it down or even to have 2 of the trains down for the rest of the season. It's the one of the best rides there. It's a good thing no one was hurt. Also, who bets that this was because the ride is sinking?
  17. Six Flags Great Adventure or Worlds of Fun. Not many coasters have interlocking loops.
  18. Theres just smoke and lights in the tunnel apparantly. And the arch of water is the water effect they talked about.
  19. I don't think so. I saw a train waiting at the bottom of the lift hill. EDIT: Definatly still running
  20. I caught this cool shot of Maverick flying into it's brake run. Watching the webcams is really sad and pathetic, but fun EDIT: Wow, there are actually some people riding Snake River Falls EDIT 2: Cool shot of Maverick on the 95 degree drop See? Crazy people on a water ride!
  21. Maverick is definatly still running.
  22. Ah, I see. You were talking about the launch tunnel itself being the problem, not the rollback it caused being the problem Just for the heck of it, heres another shot of Maverick I took... EDIT: Just took another shot, looks like operations are slowing down EDIT 2: More Maverick impressions here. The line was already over 4 HOURS LONG AT 9:30 AM
  23. When he said that, I thought that it was something done on purpose to prevent the train coming up the lift from crashing into the train stuck in the launch tunnel, since they probably don't have enough blocks for any trains to be waiting in the launch tunnel for a train in front of them, and waiting on the brake run in the middle of the ride like that would sorta ruin it.
  24. Here is yet another shot of Maverick running. Also click here for an in-depth review of Maverick.
