  1. Hi Chuck, Great TR! I also loved the Ultraman sim. After that ride, I was satisfied enough to simply take on the park's beautiful landscape. Poo on the typhoon (my 3rd typhoon/hurricane I missed this year; the 1st was on the island of Guam and the 2nd back home in Hawaii). Looks roomy!!
  2. Hi Tom, Here's a pic of you on Splash Bandit. You must have gotten really wet due to the lady awaiting with her "super" soaker prior to the brake run.
  3. ^^ Here's the fan gals with me. Hopefully, we see more from Peter since there's 10+ photos of us w/ the fangals. Anyway, I am already missing the Japan folks, and I will miss the Korea folks soon. I'm here in Seoul "supervising" a few drunks back to their room after a night of drinking with South Korea natives! Gotta love potent and cheap Soju!!!! I love the list Bill! I agree with the Rail Pass. I love hopping on the JR Yamamoto line train to the various locations in Tokyo. I wish they would run 24/7 since I was stranded in Shinjuku, Shibuya & Roppongi several nights in Tokyo (deliberately). I'll comment more later. Much love, Mike "a fan of Japanese X" Our DisneySea fangals!!
  4. ^^ I agree with Dave on Circus Musical!!! Presently, all parks we visited were empty except for Universal Studios Japan. What made the crowds at USJ great was the atmosphere -- and the fun we were having with the Japanese. Another plus of USJ, stuff works. Anyway, I better get back to exploring Nagoya ... I`m in an Internet Comic Cafe in Sakae sitting on my bottom with weird vending machines around the corner. Anyone up for some cosplay pictures? Mike
  5. ^ I agree with DiCaPac, an excellent product. I use a WP-300 for my Casio at the waterpark (I have videos of me on a body slide and the resulting splash at the pool) and snorkeling. I suggest you use Rain-X on the lens portion to prevent watermarks.
  6. I have two point & shoot: a Casio EX-S770 and a new addition, Fujifilm Finepix F40fd. The Fuji has been allocated as my low light/night camera (btw, excellent at hand held & ISO800). The Casio is my landscape/daytime camera, although I'm debating on getting a super zoom prior to the Japan/Korea trip. Hmmm, Canon S3 sounds enticing...
  7. ^^^^^^ Median price of houses in Hawaii is ~$620,000, this includes the Ewa Beach area. What you get for 600k in Ewa Beach is typically a small land (my lot of ~4500 sq ft is considered big!) and a detached home a peddles thrown away from your neighbors' home. As for Ewa Beach, it is currently one way in/out by car, so traffic is horrific -- thank goodness I catch the US Navy passenger ferry to/from work. Ko Olina is a nice and beautiful beach resort. Its proximity to the "2nd city" is great whenever Kapolei booms. There's also a boom of Honolulu condos, with beaches still a walk/bike away.
  8. I'm glad you liked my hometown. I was at Kakaako park on July 4th for the fireworks. And I agree with others, take a trip to the other, less commercialized islands for more of the laid back island living. As for credits on Oahu, there's 3 portable roller coasters, a kiddie, a wild mouse and the Miler coaster that you saw at the flea market (similar to Wildcat). Mike
  9. Lose 10lbs while in Guam and ride a roller coaster after a year hiatus. The former will be tough due to the high per diem given, hence, eating out often. However, the latter is probable since cash is already allocated for TPR's Japan tour, if not, Manila next month.
  10. Not much since I'm a single member household: - Blue jean - $40 Best Buy gift card - Aloha shirt - Alarm Clock For myself, a Gateway 14.1" notebook, an external notebook battery, 2GB SD card and a reliable Documents To Go Ver. 9 software for my PDA.
  11. Japan deposit submitted! I love the "adventure" aspect of it considering my favorite cities to explore are NYC, Boston, Washington DC and Manila, Philippines. Anyway, I figure I up my post count greater than zero .
