I saw 'O' a number of years ago and enjoyed it so much that I would have paid the $125 for the ticket to go right back in and see it again. I was just in Vegas a couple of months ago and wanted to see Ka but it was dark while I was there. I have heard nothing but great things about Love at Mirage so that is on my list of ones to see as well.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/06/29/coaste ... index.html Boy, 12, dies after Disney coaster ride Thursday, June 29, 2006; Posted: 5:07 p.m. EDT (21:07 GMT) A boy was pronounced dead Thursday after a roller coaster ride at Disney-MGM in Orlando, Florida. Image: MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- A 12-year-old boy was pronounced dead after he rode a roller coaster at Disney-MGM Studios in Orlando, Florida, on Thursday, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Michael Russell, of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, was riding the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster ride with his mom, dad and 7-year-old brother, Sgt. Carlos Torres said. After the ride stopped, Russell and his family were stepping out of the roller coaster car when he collapsed, Torres said. Russell's father began administering CPR and was later aided by a Disney assistant, but the boy was not responsive. Russell was then transported by ambulance to Celebration Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officials will perform an autopsy, and results could be released as early as Friday. (Watch the details of what happened after the roller coaster stopped -- 2:39) The incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. A Disney representative was with the family Thursday afternoon and Disney officials were offering the boy's family their "deepest sympathies," according to a statement. Disney shut down the ride and a state inspector arrived to observe the Disney investigation. The Orange County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation as well. Disney boasts of the ride on its Web site, "Zoom from 0 to 60 mph with the force of a supersonic F-14, take in high-speed loops and turns synchronized to a specially recorded Aerosmith soundtrack and zip through Tinseltown in the biggest, loudest limo you've ever seen." It adds: "The 3,400-foot-long track is more than a half mile of sudden accelerations, dips, loops and twists and turns." Children shorter than 4 feet are not permitted on the ride, according to the Web site. The last death at a Disney resort was April 12, when 49-year-old Hiltrud Bluemel of Germany suffered a stroke linked to her high blood pressure after riding "Mission: Space" at the Epcot Center in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Five months before that, a 4-year-old boy died from an unknown heart condition on the same ride.

But it does mean good things for people like myself who have younger children who can ride because of their height but were not allowed to by their parents because of the intensity of the ride, can now have a new (and most likely) thrilling experience. I know that my son had begged to go on the ride, and now when we are at Disney next week, guess what ride we will be going on?

Ok, so I am not going to read though 53 pages of comments but I did read the last few pages and it seems like most of the comments that people have about the ride is the fact that you can see some of the back staging area from the ride, part of the structure, etc. In my opinion, who cares? About 99% of the people who ride will give a rip about what they see, they care about how the ride is and from what I saw first hand over the weekend, the general public love the ride. I love coasters and all, but some of this is just going too far. I probaly have a more 'general public' attitude toward coasters and for this one, all I know is that my 5 year old loved it and wanted to ride multiple times. That is enough for me. I thought the ride was great and I look forward to riding again in just about a month. Good job Disney!

I am heading this WDW this weekend - are you aware of anywhere on Disney property that has broadband internet through WiFi? If not on Disney property, anywhere close?

California Screamin' Has Been TRIMMED?!?!?
dadofgage replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode Screamin on Tuesday night - 5 times - and didn't ever really notice any trims on any of the rides. That is especially true for the section right before the loop. For my wife and I and this being the first time that we have ridden, we thought that the ride maintained great speed, there was decent air and that the ride was just a lot of fun! -

I hope it is open when I go on Oct 18, but if it is not, it won't be that big of a deal. A conference that I am attending is buying out DCA for the night on the 18th so there will probably just be a few thousand people in the park. -

I hope this is true. I am going to be in CA the week of the 16th and going to DCA on the 18th and was hoping it would be open. -

So have they continued to test California Screamin? Any word on when it will be opened? -
What is the best concert you have ever been to?

Aerosmith was an incredible experince! Elton John and John Mellencamp were good too! Looking forward to Gwen Stefani and the Black Eyed Peas in less than a month at the Hollywood Bowl! -
Thanks for the idea about The Price is Right. We had checked into it on our dates, but they are not taping on those dates that we will be in town. We are looking at trying to get tickets to Gwen Stefani and the Black Eyed Peas at the Hollywood Bowl.

Well, we figured we would go see Jay Leno and the Tonight Show one day, but other than that, we are open to suggestions.

Ok, so my wife and I are coming to Anaheim for the Macromedia MAX conference in October. What would be some things that you would suggest that we do? Theme parks - we would probably visit Knott's as opposed to SFMM or Disney. Touristy things are okay as well as anything that might be out of the ordinary.
