if you look above your old entry, you'ss see I was answering sscamatt. That is what it has to do with this thread. -

Coastinmiller replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A week long trip to Texas for me, in 2 weeks. First I'll hit up Sea World, then Six Flags Fiesta, then I'll spend 2 days at schlitterbahn, then end with a ride (HOPEFULLY ) on the Kemah Boardwalk Bullet (please finish!!!!!!!!!) -

How to fix a coaster in Georgia

Well the parks that I went to were Cedar Point(totally packed 8 rides in 12 hrs), Kings Island(1 day late for the reopening of SOB), Coney Island OH, Stricker's Grove, Camden Park, Dollywood, Lake Winne, SFOG and Carowinds. -
Went on a 9 park, 6 day coaster trip over the fourth. No need to give TR as I am not one for beating a dead horse, but I had to post this one pic. It was waiting in line for S:UF in SFOG. The ride opened soon enough after the photo. I guess there was something wrong with the turntable. I just thought the pic was funny. Hopefully this one post, last time I tried this it didn't work. Fixing S:UF SFOG

I love the batwings, like on Top gun (carowinds) and Montu.

Beauty and the Coaster...
Coastinmiller replied to Adriel's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The Demon at Tivoli Gardens at night is a really awesome sight, with the whole track lit up and the Japanese lanterns all over the place. -
I have no idea why the pics aren't loading. My friend from another state saw them after I posted this forum, but after awhile they stopped loading. Hate to post em again as it was a very long process, but if I have to I will. No we weren't at Bakken at night, we decided to do Tivoli Gardens at night instead. I am actually surprised Tivoliland is still there. With no one in the park all the time it's strange they don't go bankrupt. But I guess when your charging for entrance then charging again for the rides it's easy to make some of that money back.

Just got back yesterday from our European vaction. 20 parks in 15 days. Overall a great trip, but of course there were a few snags. Nicole and myself started off in England and enjoyed the parks, b&b's and scenery. We then on Thursday August the 10 had to fly out of Stansted airport to go to Norway. Totally unware of whats was happening from the day before, we got to the airport about 2.5 hrs early. OMG!! What a zoo. People everywhere, police with guns drawn, dogs sniffing everything. Somehow we manage to take off only 3 hrs late, that's after standing in line for 2 hrs, we just made the flight as they were shutting the cabin door. We met up with my Norwegian friend Ivan, his son Marius and Ivan's girlfriend Evette. Ivan picked us up from the airport and we continued our journey. I'll get to the reviews of the parks in a bit, but since TPR has already did reviews on most of the park that I had visited I won't redo as there is no need beating a dead horse. I have a ton of pictures from every park, but like I said TPR has already done them so here's the short park reviews: Oakwood-always a funpark to visit, vertical slide was awesome so was Speed. Hydro was still not running. Blackpool Pleasure Beach-I loved this place great old rides and every dark ride was a surprise. South Pier-hey, I got a credit. Pleasureland Southport-We could of stayed on that wheel all day if we didn't have to run off to another park. Lightwater Valley-Ultimate was fine until the drop after the second lift. Very Violent. Flamingoland-Nice park, nice rides. Kumali was great, smooth, but ride ops were very slow and what is the deal with checking your restraints when you come back into the station? 3 checks total on the restarints is a little much. Did you guys run into the same thing?? Drayton Manor-I should have listen to you guys and skipped it. G- force was forceless, so was Shockwave, but it was nice to do a zero g roll standing up. People in the park were just plain as@@@@@@! Should have went to Fantasy Island instead. Alton-Nothing really to say, Alton=Awesome. Thorpe-Colossus was great. I liked this park, but not much really to do. Chessington-The surprise of the trip. Vampire was great. The only bad thing was Dragon's Fury was closed. Tivoliland-see review below Farup Sommerland-What an incredible little park, had a blast there. Great adventure trail. Djurs Sommerland-see review below Heide Park-Scream was great as was Colossos. The bobsled was the best I've been on. Hansa-Great Star Flyer and awesome adventure course with harnesses. BonBon Land-Strange park, but I felt let down. I guess I was expecting more. Was Definelty strange though. Bakken-Again I felt let down. For being the world's oldest park I thought it should of had older rides, like an old mill and more dark rides. Got 3 credits though. Tivloi Gardens-What a treasure in Copenhagen, stayed down the street at the Selendia. So we were at the park all night. Liseberg-Ok, I guess it's time for me to start a debate. Balder let me down. You guys pumped it up sooooo much, I was expecting it to blow me away, it didn't. Now don't get me wrong, it's a good coaster worthy of a top ten spot, but El Toro, I believe anyway is better. Balder did have good air, but weak on the turns. They did get the Liseberganan up and running again. Tusenfryd-Great park. ThunderCoaster was nice in the middle of the train, but extremely painful, esp off the second drop in the back. Speed Monster was at least better than the Kanonen. Ok now time for the other parks that haven't been reviewed. Now keep in mind this is my first so take it easy on me. Tivoliland We arrived there late, but still managed to do everything as no one was in the park. Small park with 3 coasters(a Vekoma Boomerang [named the same], a pinfari death machine [named Looping] and a kidde coaster[named Catepillar]). A few flat rides, a fun house, and 1 dark ride made up the park. Overall a small park in a decent size city of Aalborg. I did not take many pictures because it was just too dark, like I said we were they late. Djurs Sommerland] We left Farup early enough to have ample time here at Djurs. Almost identical to Farup minus no wood coaster and no spinning mouse. They had a nice new Topple Tower named Ornen. Thors Hammer was a nice Gerstlauer wild mouse/bobsled. Everthing was well themed including the Rio Grande Rafting. They even had a small water park(sorry no pictures of it). At the end of the picture review of this parkis a great picture. Well I guess it's Picture time. Hope you enjoy.

Yeah, we are actually staying in Copehagen(at the Selandia any idea how it is???) for 3 nights. I wanted to do Tivoli Gardens and Bakken at night anyway and besides I heard great things about the night life of Copenhagen. The "Illuminations" sounds really sweet. As for the German Fair, I would love to, although our plans are to stay in Lubeck so we are closer to Hansa for the next day, so we were planning to stay all day at Heide. But we could get out for a bit to do a German fair and another credit. When is the fair, we will be there on saturday Aug 12. -

While in Copenhagen we are going to make a side trip to Roskilde for the Viking ship museum with and an eveing tour on the fjord. Any tips, suggestions or must sees and more than welcome. -
I am 1 week away from embarking on a great vaction I put together for my wife and myself. We will be going to England, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germay. We will be hitting all the parks you basically have in the past. Any hints or suggestions or must sees that you can let me know of that I can stop by?

Looking for Ross who works at Beech Bend
Coastinmiller replied to Coastinmiller's topic in Ask Alvey
Thanks Robb! -
Hi all. I was at Beech Bend this past weekend, July 7-9. I met Ross while waiting in line for the Rumbler. It did't open, but I wanted to thank him for the chat while waiting. I had to run to get out of there to make my flight, which I barley made. So does anyone know Ross's handle on TPR??

yeah line cutting is bad there, but ever go to Six Flags America. That has my vote for the worst line cutters. Almost got into a brawl with 5 paroles with ankle braclets. That was alot of fun. -
Funniest Ride Experiences
Coastinmiller replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
First post for this site. I was riding Hypersonic PKD, I put my then film camera in my cargo shorts pocket. The train run the circuit and I got off reaching for my camera, nothing there. I searched the train several times and found nothing. I gave up for I was in the market looking for a new one anyway. While walking away I saw it on the grond at the base of the tower smashed into little bits. I resuced it with a stick thorugh the fence. I thought I had insurance on it and thought I could salavage the film so I took it back to the Camera Shop. Nothing, had to buy a new one so I did. They asked if I wanted insurance on this on so this would not happen again. I did, but the funny part of the story is the are still using my smashed up old camera to get patrons to buy insurance and that was 5 years ago. they just keep it up on a shelf.
