There's also nothing stopping them from calling up Zierer and asking them to do a complete reconstruction of the coaster a la Incredible Hulk. -
Just so everyone is aware, the CNE is the Canadian National Exhibition, which is a huge fair that happens every year in Toronto, just north of Ontario Place. Adding to what John said, I feel like theme park cover-ups are rare, only because an incident at a park is always sensationalized in the news cycle. Then there are the inevitable "top ten BANNED roller coasters" videos that come up, and everything else.

I now want "please leave all bags, loose articles, and Terrible Towels with a non-rider" to be a part of the spiel. -
If I'm understanding this correctly, this type of ride still exists today. Here's one at Knoebels in Pennsylvania, it's their tea cups ride. The modern-day equivalent of this ride can be found at various Disney parks around the world. No spinning, but it has the switch-off figure-eight track and vehicle design.

What Bill said, if you have a second adult, you can do child swap (it's called Rider Switch) at both of the attractions you mentioned, as well as pretty much any other attraction that has a significant height restriction or "intensity" factor. Rock n' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, Avatar Flight of Passage, the list goes on. If you're going for a "nice, relaxing" experience Animal Kingdom is your best bet, there are plenty of walking tours to entertain you and your child. If often feels like the quietest park of the four. If your child watches Disney Junior, there are plenty of opportunities for meet and greets within Hollywood Studios. EPCOT probably has the best selection of food on the resort. EDIT: You really didn't have to post this three times. Once is enough.

Always make sure you tell us where you got an image from and link it back (even if you don't know the exact source). In this case it's from the roller coasters subreddit. So, can we stop calling this "RMC Gwazi"? At this rate there won't be much of Gwazi left over when the new coaster finally opens. -
Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

Apparently the joke is that they're the only people on the ride and they didn't choose the front or back. It took me scrolling through all of the Instagram comments to "get" it, which means it's just a bit too high-brow. -

Blue Hawk isn't all that bad. There, I said it. -
I'll double-post here to preemptively answer some questions - Interesting feature request, we'll look into it later down the line. Currently the cutoff is twelve (12) riders. Any coaster that has less than twelve people that have marked it as "ridden" is given a provisional ranking, marked by an asterisk (*) in the results. Same as before, this is subject to change and will be reviewed prior to the results becoming official.
-
At this time, we will be grouping any coaster layout that has three identical (or near-identical) installations or more. This is subject to change and we'll be reviewing everything before the results go up in March.

I'm with you on Hollywood Land but I wouldn't expect a replacement for a long while, at least until after the new Avengers land is finished. As for the unused buildings at Downtown Disney District? The whole reason those buildings were closed in the first place was for the then-upcoming fourth resort hotel. When the city said, "nah, no tax breaks for you", Disney pulled the plug. That was very recently, you can't expect Disney to come up with a completely new plan overnight.

Called it! Do I get a cookie? As for the SBF ride, based on what Bill said, I think it's a Mini Break Dance, which debuted at the 2017 IAAPA Expo and was also at the 2018 expo. -
Yes. When you click the green "done ranking" button and you can no longer drag / drop or change the numbers in your list, your ballot is good to go.
-
Chase is probably a better person to answer your first two... As for the Hurricanes / Windstorms? They're a grey area. Generally they don't meet our size cutoff. The two you mentioned are somewhat different. Cliffhanger is a clone in terms of layout but it has a significant novelty in the fact that it's at the top of a gigantic cliff, meaning that the great view might cause someone to rank it higher (though slightly). Runaway Mountain actually meets our size cutoff, as it's larger than those clones.

Quick update: We believe that the bug that prevented new users from marking their coasters as ridden (returning a "Forbidden" message) has been fixed. Please let us know if you're still having trouble!
-
Firehawk we're leaving out (as there are always exceptions to the rules). As for the clones, we've done it that way on purpose. If all the S&S free spins are the same to you, just mark the "clone" entry as ridden. However, some of our casual users might love The Joker at Six Flags Great Adventure but not know that it's an S&S free spin. So, we leave both options open and we will combine them together when the results are tabulated. This also means that people who ranked all their "clones" individually last year (before we put the aggregates in place) can keep their entries where they are without having to worry about it.
-
Thanks for that. Can we have some other users confirm whether marking rides as ridden is / isn't working correctly? Like on Safari, Firefox, Chrome on Windows, etc? We'll get this resolved as soon as possible.
-
Can you tell us what browser / OS you're using?

If you voted last year, click the yellow "Not Done Yet" button. Then drag everything in, and click the green "Done Ranking" button.

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions regarding the poll. How does the poll work? The way coasters are ranked is based on whether riders prefer one coaster over another. The more that one coaster is preferred over all other coasters, the higher its individual rank is. It's not just about how many votes a coaster gets. How did you decide which coasters to include on the poll? Generally, any coaster that is the size of a wild mouse or larger is included on the poll. However, there are exceptions - a few smaller coasters are on the poll, and a few larger ones aren't. Selecting the cutoff based on size means that we can be objective about which coasters are included. In addition, we require that coaster has to have operated for the majority of the season to be considered. Are large traveling coasters such as Olympia Looping included on the poll? Yes! Search their names or find the park called "Traveling". I've ridden so many coasters that I don't feel like individually ranking them all. What happens? You can rank your coasters in batches if you want! For example, you can give your "best" coasters all tied ranks of #1, then your "awesome" coasters all tied ranks of #10, "good" #20, and so on. Or, you can just choose not to rank coasters you consider as "okay" or "average". Or, you can rank your top 50, and then give your "middle" coasters all tied rankings, and then rank your bottom 10. It's up to you! The poll cares about how coasters compare to each other, not just which ones are ranked first or last on peoples' lists. I can't recall which of the Vekoma boomerangs I've ridden is the best. Does it matter? For "cloned" coasters such as Vekoma boomerangs, B&M Batman inverted coasters, and the like, we have "aggregate" entries. You can search for the word "clone" and they will all show up, or you can rank a cloned coaster individually. All the appropriate entries will be averaged together and the aggregate entry will be the one that gets ranked in the final results. We have done it this way so that casual users can search for the Hersheypark Sidewinder without knowing that it's a Vekoma boomerang, for example. My favorite coaster is missing! Why is that? We've gone to great effort to include every major coaster on the poll, but we may have missed one. If it meets our "rankable coaster" guidelines, and there is enough of a desire to include it, leave us a comment or a reply to the TPR Forum thread and we'll look into it. Will I be able to see other peoples' ranking lists? No, we won't be making any users' ballots visible. We understand that previous polls have done it this way, however, we value privacy. If you want to publicly share what your top coasters were, great! However, we won't force that on anyone else. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
