  1. Yeah, I would bet that the Cedar Fair parks that are closer to the big cities (Carowinds, Kings Island, et al) probably have better season pass performance than Cedar Point. Even if you're on the opposite end of Cincinnati you can get to Kings Island in 45 minutes or less, from the east side of Cleveland to Cedar Point can be as long as an hour and a half. I personally would be questioning my decision to renew my Walt Disney World annual pass if I lived more than a half-hour's drive away.
  2. I'm still betting that we'll be seeing B&M do a two-across train for this coaster. I remember that earlier concept rendering and those clearances look tight.
  3. Single-rider on Test Track can still be pretty long. I think the last time I was there it was pushing an hour.
  4. Got it. Some things to keep in mind: Fastpass reservations for Avatar Flight of Passage, Slinky Dog Dash, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are just gone, they're typically booked 60 days out by resort guests. I don't know how long you're willing to wait to get the credits but expect to wait at least an hour and a half each. Frozen Ever After, the EPCOT Character Spot, Soarin' Around the World and Test Track are "upper tier" experiences and you can only reserve one Fastpass between them. The same is true for both Pandora attractions at Animal Kingdom and all three Toy Story Land attractions at Hollywood Studios.
  5. Every ticketed guest gets three Fastpass Plus reservations per day, that's just how it works. If your director(s) / trip planner(s) won't be distributing tickets until right as you're en route to Animal Kingdom, you're pretty much hosed with regard to being choosy about what you want to do. Your ability to book (and availability of) Fastpass experiences before your visit is dependent on linking your ticket and room to your MyDisneyExperience account. Based on what you just laid out, you'll have to link your ticket to MyDisneyExperience immediately upon receiving it, or book it to a Fastpass Plus kiosk. Then you'll make reservations for whatever happens to be available that morning, as well as whatever is available for your EPCOT day and Magic Kingdom afternoon. That all being said, availability might not be as bad for EPCOT and Magic Kingdom, considering you're visiting on weekdays.
  6. Question of the day - did the Cyclone actually give you asthma?
  7. Toaster Oven is the only acceptable solution to this problem.
  8. There's also nothing stopping them from calling up Zierer and asking them to do a complete reconstruction of the coaster a la Incredible Hulk.
  9. Just so everyone is aware, the CNE is the Canadian National Exhibition, which is a huge fair that happens every year in Toronto, just north of Ontario Place. Adding to what John said, I feel like theme park cover-ups are rare, only because an incident at a park is always sensationalized in the news cycle. Then there are the inevitable "top ten BANNED roller coasters" videos that come up, and everything else.
  10. I now want "please leave all bags, loose articles, and Terrible Towels with a non-rider" to be a part of the spiel.
  11. If I'm understanding this correctly, this type of ride still exists today. Here's one at Knoebels in Pennsylvania, it's their tea cups ride. The modern-day equivalent of this ride can be found at various Disney parks around the world. No spinning, but it has the switch-off figure-eight track and vehicle design.
  12. What Bill said, if you have a second adult, you can do child swap (it's called Rider Switch) at both of the attractions you mentioned, as well as pretty much any other attraction that has a significant height restriction or "intensity" factor. Rock n' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, Avatar Flight of Passage, the list goes on. If you're going for a "nice, relaxing" experience Animal Kingdom is your best bet, there are plenty of walking tours to entertain you and your child. If often feels like the quietest park of the four. If your child watches Disney Junior, there are plenty of opportunities for meet and greets within Hollywood Studios. EPCOT probably has the best selection of food on the resort. EDIT: You really didn't have to post this three times. Once is enough.
  13. Always make sure you tell us where you got an image from and link it back (even if you don't know the exact source). In this case it's from the roller coasters subreddit. So, can we stop calling this "RMC Gwazi"? At this rate there won't be much of Gwazi left over when the new coaster finally opens.
  14. Apparently the joke is that they're the only people on the ride and they didn't choose the front or back. It took me scrolling through all of the Instagram comments to "get" it, which means it's just a bit too high-brow.
  15. Blue Hawk isn't all that bad. There, I said it.
  16. I'll double-post here to preemptively answer some questions - Interesting feature request, we'll look into it later down the line. Currently the cutoff is twelve (12) riders. Any coaster that has less than twelve people that have marked it as "ridden" is given a provisional ranking, marked by an asterisk (*) in the results. Same as before, this is subject to change and will be reviewed prior to the results becoming official.
  17. At this time, we will be grouping any coaster layout that has three identical (or near-identical) installations or more. This is subject to change and we'll be reviewing everything before the results go up in March.
  18. I'm with you on Hollywood Land but I wouldn't expect a replacement for a long while, at least until after the new Avengers land is finished. As for the unused buildings at Downtown Disney District? The whole reason those buildings were closed in the first place was for the then-upcoming fourth resort hotel. When the city said, "nah, no tax breaks for you", Disney pulled the plug. That was very recently, you can't expect Disney to come up with a completely new plan overnight.
  19. If you're talking about an overhead lap restraint similar to Dare Devil Dive, those bars stick out to either side, and the ones equipped on Shell Shock in the Mall of America stick out on both sides. Those four-across Euro Fighter trains are a very tight squeeze.
  20. Don't you mean "HEAR"?!? Ah, wocka wocka!
  21. Yep. It's because the Takabisha layout is already designed for those trains.
  22. Called it! Do I get a cookie? As for the SBF ride, based on what Bill said, I think it's a Mini Break Dance, which debuted at the 2017 IAAPA Expo and was also at the 2018 expo.
  23. Yes. When you click the green "done ranking" button and you can no longer drag / drop or change the numbers in your list, your ballot is good to go.
  24. Chase is probably a better person to answer your first two... As for the Hurricanes / Windstorms? They're a grey area. Generally they don't meet our size cutoff. The two you mentioned are somewhat different. Cliffhanger is a clone in terms of layout but it has a significant novelty in the fact that it's at the top of a gigantic cliff, meaning that the great view might cause someone to rank it higher (though slightly). Runaway Mountain actually meets our size cutoff, as it's larger than those clones.
  25. Quick update: We believe that the bug that prevented new users from marking their coasters as ridden (returning a "Forbidden" message) has been fixed. Please let us know if you're still having trouble!
