The Volare Flying Coaster
A.J. replied to Tmcdllr's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
IMO, the Volares are a prime example of a great idea but poor execution. If they would just redesign those forsaken trains, they would be really kick-[censored] rides. -
EXCLUSIVE signature banner for the moderation team, designed to line up perfectly with a Club TPR banner... My own personal signature banner (ignore this, I just want to upload it here...)

Oooh! Oooh! I know! Amazing Earl made all the rides and scenery that have .DATs that start with the prefix "AE"... ...not that anyone doesn't know that, but I'm trying to help! -
The "Preview" Thread
A.J. replied to DBru's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Whoa there, slugger, calm down. It hasn't even been put in-game yet, so it's going to be a while. Looking great, Brandon. Keep up the good work, and take as much time as you need. -
My suggestion is to get rid of the "scenery" sub-category and add three more in its place - Custom Scenery, Custom Flat Ride, Custom Tracked Ride. All three kinds of custom content have been developed for both RCT2 and RCT3.

The TPR Games Forum Moderators Random Thread

He claims his stuff is copyrighted, but he says right on his website that his layouts and trains are "inspired" by other manufacturers' coasters - Check it out. In my misguided flaming-headed opinion, none of his designs are worth copying in the first place, and if he really wanted to simulate how they worked, he would've actually used Autodesk Inventor or something similar and animated them instead of using static 3DS in NoLimits. Using Autodesk Inventor since he was twelve? I only started using it my junior year in high school and I know how to animate that stuff! -

Sounds like a certain user we know who over-saturates his watermarked photos... -
Attaching to email now... EDIT: Too large. EDIT THE SEQUEL: Attached to THIS post! It's version 1.6, so you'll have to go get the 1.7 update (which is free). Install.zip

Land of Adventures [RCT2]
A.J. replied to B.A.B's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Don't bank Wildcat's turn after the drop so early. It's good to have one or two straight sections before banking a turn like that. It'll look better as well. -

Arrow looping. If you're keeping score, I have - B&M Sitting, Hyper, and Floorless. Schwarzkopf looping. Arrow looping. B&M inverted will be my next one, and most likely the last steel one I do. Are there any other steel coaster comparisons you'd personally like them to see before I do the two wooden ones? -
Let me see if I can find it, I think I saved the file on a USB stick somewhere. EDIT: Found it! Have you tried attaching the ZIP to an email?

Sure, the Club TPR membership is nice, but I'd really like to thank both of you for this opportunity. I'm exceptionally glad I'm now a part of the team behind Theme Park Review. I'll gladly be a guinea pig for other super-awesome new stuff going on around the site, and with anything you guys are involved with roller coaster-game wise. I'm also looking forward to East Coast Bash.

No problem - give me a few hours so I can get on my Mac (I'm on my mobile phone at the moment) and I can de-bold or recolor the white text. Otherwise, I think the post is ready to be...posted, except for the edit > lose attachment problem.

I've proofread the contest post, and edited it with some white text for our international users. The only problem I have is putting the game exchange attachment in that thread. I was able to merge Rudie's post into the thread, but that's as far as I made it. Whenever I try and edit the post, we lose the game exchange attachment and I have no idea how to re-attach it without re-uploading it.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay (BGT Discussion Thread)
A.J. replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They finally started working on the drop. It's more gradual of a drop, but remember that the train will be going at a faster speed than the top of the figure-eight when it starts that drop. -

B&M Floorless coaster. Take note of how incredibly difficult it is to get the RCT3 trains the right colors and how close the seats are to each other. -
AHAHAHAHAHA. Insane Powerful Fun Loop...

Moving tracks from the forum to the exchange...
A.J. replied to robbalvey's topic in Games Forum Moderators
Yeah, not sure exactly what happened to him... Moving his downloads n' such would be a great opportunity to make sub-categories (ex. RCT2 Scenery, click here) or something similar. -
