  1. Saw this too. I'm assuming (although I might be very wrong) that they are putting all new seating in all around the funnel cake stand? Maybe they can reconfigure it to add a few more tables, it's usually pretty filled up. Pleasantly surprised that the naysayers on FB are relatively few and fairly tame. The overall response seems to be mostly positive which reinforces that there is no negative to these updates and in fact they are generating a lot of renewed interest in the park.

  2. Phoenix Rising construction update taken from the Sky Ride today. Friday seems like the best day of the week to visit the park this time of year. Crowds were low but they were running more trains compared to a Monday - Thursday. Most days this week Sheikra had up to a 30 minute wait with 1 train running. Today with 2 trains running, it was a complete walk on. I saw Cheetah Hunt was running 3 trains instead of the usual 2 on weekdays as well. There weren't too many people waiting for the Sky Ride but in a small sample size, it appeared almost everyone getting in line to ride was a pass holder. I rode twice and I only saw people pay to ride once. I'm glad to have the ride back open because when there is no line it saves some time.

  4. I think more than a few of us complained about that billboard closing off the pathway to make people walk closer to Ninja and Empire. I'll be interesting to see what's done to encourage people to head that way now.

  5. We have news out of Destination D23 for all sorts of new stuff coming to Magic Kingdom! https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2023/09/new-country-bear-disney-songs-pirates-lounge-hatbox-ghost-coming-to-magic-kingdom/ Country Bear Jamboree will be getting new songs and the bears will be performing a new act! Disney Imagineer Chris Beatty told the Destination D23 audience that when the show debuts, the bears will be reinterpreting favorite Disney songs in different genres of country music – like rockabilly, bluegrass, pop-country and other styles. Imagineers are envisioning the new take as a homage to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and they’re working with Nashville musicians to get the authentic country sound. The popular attraction will continue to have the fun and friendly tone and same characters. In late November, the legendary Hatbox Ghost will be materializing in the Haunted Mansion attraction in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The iconic grim grinning ghost will appear in the Haunted Mansion attraction as you pass the Endless Hallway, welcoming himself inside from the swinging wake in the cemetery and grinning at passing Doom Buggies. Imagineer Daniel Joseph joined Josh on the Destination D23 stage over the weekend for the announcement and shared details about the arrival of Hatbox Ghost. Also, a new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge is coming to Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park in Florida. This first-of-its-kind experience will extend the story of Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Imagineers are currently in the design process and more details will be coming.
