It definitely wouldn't. Yes you can get it custom built to the terrain but the material costs exist and there would now be tariffs on top of the usual material and transport costs. That would add a substantial amount to the cost of importing a roller coaster. B&M and Chance likely use imported steel and that would also be impacted by the same issue. There's never been a better time to relocate coasters than right now. I'm also not sure just how much of the relocation would need to involve grading vs how much adaptation could be achieved by adding height with either tall footers or extra new steel columns. The Six Flags America version ALREADY features tall footers and other quirks due to it being a clone.

I bet it would be cheaper and easier to just get a brand new Intamin hyper -

I hope the wait time is advertised. -

I'm curious about the cost to do that. I don't think it would be worth it, and it would require a lot of grading. -

Almost seems unethical to run it that slow. -

The only thing about it i didn't understand is why Cedar Fair wanted to take on that much debt . Hopefully the lower pass sales helps give them some cash and brings up in park spending for a bigger 2027 announcement list. Maybe you can take Superman from Six Flags America. -

I have no idea why a first time coaster lover rider would even wait for that line, even if traveling from afar. I wouldn't. -

Witnesses didn't hear a "click" when the restraint was secured. -

It seems weird that a ride reopening is being advertised so hard -

Yeah I was praying they didn't adjust the restraints, the freedom of it is a big component of how great it is. Being clamped down, it would still be fun, just... lesser. Related, I was kind of surprised how difficult it can be to convey how hurt you could get on a coaster if you're not conscious. To me it seems obvious, but my fiancee couldn't really grasp it. "But how can it be safe?" It's safe, almost any ride could hurt you if you're not awake, etc etc. I told her go completely limp in her office chair and I shook it around a bit, that was a real eye opener for her. -

Very cool to see that on the open road. -

It's nice to hear about upgraded entertainment, but that's pretty disposable, isn't it? I think a reason to sleep more soundly would be the announcement of a new attraction. Those are just my thoughts. So that's the standard now? We've finally hit, "let's just hope we stay open."?? I remember when a hyper was on our wish list. This is exactly the shit I've been talking about over the years. I guess we'll just have to wait and see just how much "corporate hates out park." Granted, both chains were in trouble, despite people liking to think Six Flags is responsible for sinking the ship. But, I remember being criticized over being pessimistic (shocker, right?) about the merger. What a shit show. -
Thank you so much Doppel Looping for this nice trip report! I enjoyed reading it and looking at the pictures! As a roller coaster enthusiath and a beer lover, it's been my dream for many years to go to the Oktoberfest in Munich! I came close to realizing that dream this year but fell short! Next yeat maybe. I can't wait to ride the Olympia Looping. I have always been fascinated by Schwarzkopf loopers. I have ridden a few including the Mindbender at Galaxyland and will probably make it to Indiana Beach next summer to ride their All American Triple Loop! Such awesome coasters!

seeing reports online (apparently "leaked") that Epic is reopening Stardust Racers tomorrow (Sat, 10/4). if true, I'm glad to see it reopening without any restraint adjustments - and I'm really surprised by that. but pleased. EDIT TO ADD: "Entertainment Weekly" picked it up: https://ew.com/universal-epic-universe-stardust-racers-reopening-date-roller-coaster-death-11824081
