Photo TR: 307 and shesaidboom do Kennywood and Waldameer

So we drove down to Kennywood with the express purpose of hanging out with the TPR Mid-West crew! However, we ended up basically doing our own thing with Derek and Micole, with a few sprinkles of other TPR members thrown in for ZEST.

Next time I think we'll immerse ourselves more in the TPR "groups", but that's not to say we didn't have a blast down there this time!

Everything was running great, we discovered how awesome Thunderbolt is, we got some insane air on Jackrabbit, and we really, really hated that $%#^% GARFIELD RIDE.

We like Kennywood. But not the potato patch.

Apparently Jahan and Canobiefan have a secret love child, and we managed to catch him on film. Too bad he wouldn't show his face on camera.

Looks like TPR weren't the nerdiest group in the park that day. These Insane Clown Posse kids started chanting about insane clowns and Faygo as we walked by.

Phantom's Revenge was having some problems, but being in the right place in the right time, we met up with Robb and Elissa, and ended up being able to ride during the coaster's "test runs"! Awesome!

Phantom's Revenge at night was awesome, and since that was basically the reason we went to the park on Friday night, it was totally worth it!

Kangaroo was a "must ride" on this trip... that kid is like six inches off her seat! Bad ass ride.

We drove through the Liberty Tunnel and Nikki took an artsy picture of some lights. I was hoping for a Steely McBeam sighting, myself.

But at least we got to enjoy the signage. THE DUDE HAS A LIGHTNING BOLT IN HIS TOE.

We made a stop at Waldameer along the way - only to find out that the park wouldn't open for another three hours. Oops!

When we left the park, we stopped at the McDonald's to get some drinks for the car. A bunch of those obnoxious ICP people were in there, and we heard one of them say "I got 47 of us kicked out of Kennywood for taking showers". I have no idea what these clowns were up to, but let's all hope prison time will somehow be involved.

Well we managed to finish the pint of it after eating gigantor plates of pasta with awesome DEL GROSSO sauce... okay well Nikki's plate was a lot smaller than mine, but you know.

But it's definitely worth buying if you get the chance, and not just because it's COLBERT ICE CREAM, it actually tastes awesome.

I'm assuming they were spraying each other with Faygo in a display of stupidity. Seeing the group of them standing there like that was ridiculous.

Oh, believe me, I know. At first I was like, "He has his own dessert now?", but then I looked at the description on the tub and desperately wanted to try some. (I looked for some at the new Ben & Jerry's at CP last month to no avail.)

I guess if you could eat it after big heaping bowls of pasta, I could have eaten it at 4 in the afternoon, after having gone 11 hours without eating, since the flight down.

In any case, Kennywood looks pretty sweet. Those potato patch fries I see in every TR clog my arteries even via LCD monitor. (Though apparently YOU don't like them.
