GCI Wooden
Jerry Whitman- Manager Cedar Valley Hello, I'm proud to announce that after 3 years of planning and construction, Cedar Valley is finally open to the public. The park, located in Cook County, Minnesota, is a wonderful place for families who want to enjoy nature and the cool breeze of Canadian air, yet still get an adrenaline rush. Now, on to photos! Breeze is a great ride the entire family can enjoy together. The northern wind feels wonderful. Discord is the most disorienting ride I have ever been on. This is for the thrill-seeker of the family Avalanche is the star of the park. This wonderful out-and-back woodie will definitely make you fly out of your seat! This drop is ridiculous. It is filled with airtime! Avalanche features the first QUADRUPLE-Down! This ride truly was designed with airtime in mind. Cedar Valley also features a coaster for those aren't ready for Avalanche, Ladybug Run. Ladybug Run was very popular today, the line extended out of the queue! Avalanche is a breathtaking coaster, on and off the ride! If you get hungry, there is a giant food court with lots of benches and shade to make your meal as enjoyable as possible. It was very busy today, everything was running at full capacity. Even though Avalanche was running full trains, the line still extended beyond the queue. Whirler is another ride that the whole family can enjoy together. It was a really successful opening day, I will leave you with an aerial photo of the park. Any feedback is welcomed and appreciated. I am not an expert RCT3 builder so I would enjoy suggestions as to how I could make this park better. Edited July 16, 2015 by GCI Wooden
Atter
Avalanche looks really cool! I like this park so far!
IronWolfman
I like your park, it is very small and adorable! I really like Avalanche and its layout, though the train seems a little large for it. If there is a way, you should also try building some sort of cover for Ladybug Run's station. Anyways, this is a decent start out!
thrillseeker4552
Neat little park--it has some charm. I look forward to what you do with this!
GCI Wooden
Cedar Valley- Last day of the first operating season Daniel Castor- 23 year old guest Hey everybody, this is my second time visiting the park and I am here on the last day of the season! Cedar Valley is located in northern Minnesota so there is a long off-season because of the treacherous winters. I didn't see any activity that hinted towards construction, so I don't think that next year will be anything major. The weather was perfect, it was 66 degrees and sunny, couldn't ask for better than that. Here are a few pictures I took a on my trip. I love walking into the park because of the beautiful landscaping. This park definitely has charm, something lacking in most regional amusement parks. Discord was my first stop, and it was a walk-on! I like it! I was very dizzy when I walked off this ride. My next stop was Whirler, it has a long line but it moves fairly quickly. My only complaint is the color scheme, it is REALLY ugly. Next up was Avalanche. This woodie has the most airtime I have ever experienced. Well worth the wait. I went for the back seat, you get lots of airtime when you get whipped over the tops of hills, especially the first drop and quadruple-down! I decided to ride again, this time in the front. It is a much better ride in the back. But the front is good because even at halfway through the ride, you can see the entire layout of this remarkable coaster. The line was short for Ladybug Run, so I decided to try it. Yes I am pitiful for going on the kiddie coaster, but I was comforted by the fact that I wasn't the only 20 year old on it alone. (I asked the other 20 year old and he said he was from TPR) I love the look of these benches, it adds to the charm of the park. The line for Breeze died down so I decided I'd try it. I was pleasantly surprised with it. Nice calm ride. The Line for Avalanche was extending out of its queue for most of the day, and I decided it would be the last ride of the day for me. So I'll leave you with this, a picture of the park taken from Avalanche's lift. I am exited to see what Cedar Valley does next year, even though I don't think it will be much. IronWolfman
You're right, Whirler's color scheme IS ugly! I do like they way you used the in-game log benches.
GCI Wooden
Cedar Valley opening day Season 2! Jerry Whitman- Manager of Cedar Valley Cedar Valley is entering its second season. There were only minor cosmetic changes done to the park because of the expense of opening a new park. However, things did get changed during the off-season so lets check it out! The park was very busy for opening day, I hope that attendance is up all year so we can afford more attractions! We planted trees around Ladybug Run to make it a more adventurous ride and to make the loading area shady. We changed Whirler's color scheme to red and blue. It looks much better than it did before The food court was very busy today, this is the busiest I have ever seen it! Discord was running at full capacity today! Breeze was broken down for most the day, but our mechanics spring into action! This is the view from the lift of Avalanche, we planted hundreds of trees to enhance the feeling of speed! Here are some aerial shots of the park. As you can see we added lots of landscaping this year. In this picture you can see the new paint on whirler, the new shaded queue for Ladybug Run, and the hundreds of trees to make our 2 coasters more fun! Whirler was very popular today, it looks much more appealing with the new paint job. This is a view of all the trees in Avalanche's area. The park is very beautiful at night. This is whirler at night. This is Avalanche dominating the treeline. Discord is covered with lights that look amazing at night. By the end of the day Breeze was back up and running. This was also a very good opening day, just like last year. The future is very bright for Cedar Valley! Once again I will add that if you have any ideas as to how this park could be better please post it!
GCI Wooden
Cedar Valley Construction? John Warren- 31- Repeat guest Hello, this is my 3rd time at the park and I loved it. I noticed that there is new stuff in the park, as well as some construction. I'm not going to keep you hanging on what I saw so on to photos! The landscapers are amazing here, definitely one of the prettiest parks I have ever been to. This was taken during loading of Discord, you get a great view of Breeze. While I was on Discord I saw a large area of cleared land. This was the best picture I could get of it because of all the trees. This was taken from Avalanche's lift, in the background you can see the cleared land. The sunset is beautiful, and Breeze is the perfect ride to just relax on. The food court has some new lights. In northern Minnesota there aren't many city lights so you can see lots of stars. Breeze looks wonderful at night. Discord and Breeze look beautiful together, and the background makes me exited for the future! Overall I am really curious as to what is going on in that cleared area, it's either a coaster or a major flat ride. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Whitman- Manager Cedar Valley Just to let everyone know, we will be teasing you as to what this mystery expansion is. IronWolfman
Whirler looks much better and so does Ladybug Run with the new trees! Maybe the expansion is a new flat or water ride?

JonnyRCT3
Could you actually update this thread, maybe with some pictures too. Instead of adding a sentence every few hours. Plz. 4.) Guidelines for thread content. There has been some confusion as to how much content should be included in a new thread or an update post. To that end, let us clarify - To post a new project thread or provide an update warranting a bump to an old one, you must include three pieces of media, such as three in-game screenshots. Not to be rude, I'd just like to actually see the park. That's all. Edited August 19, 2014 by JonnyRCT3

GCI Wooden
Ok, first off, I want to apologize for my short posts before, unfortunately I don't know how to delete those posts so I guess I'll have to live with those elements of my own stupidity. Our construction workers have been working around the clock and have already finished the loading area and the lift hill. Construction workers are beginning the walls on the station. This is going up very quickly! The station, walls are already going up! The lift is already completed! There is going to be a loop here above a small area of water! View of all the construction, this should be testing soon. I'll update again when track is completed!
GCI Wooden
Blue Lightning- Construction complete! Construction is complete, all that is left to do is landscape and start testing. We will start testing as soon as we can. The queue and station has already been completed. You have to see this beast, it's huge! Construction is complete! This is the layout, both inversions are pictured. This is going to be a very wild ride! This is the crazy turn-around after the loop. After the turn-around you get thrown into a corkscrew! After the corkscrew is a 360 degree helix. This is the station and lift hill. I'll leave you with a very beautiful loop. This area will be landscaped and testing will begin soon! GCI Wooden
Sorry everyone, but this park has been deleted. My computer crashed and I had to get a new computer. The park is dead forever.
GCI Wooden
ut of character- The orginal Cedar Valley was something that I created in the Summer of 2014, and my computer crashed and we had to get a new one, which meant that I lost the park. I really liked the name, and the area it was located as that is my favorite place on Earth (Cook county, Minnesota), so I was really sad that it crashed, and it was always sitting in the back of my head that I should restart the park. Now, I finally have. During my time running the original one, I was still a new member and made some really dumb posts (I didn't quite "get" it yet), and I just want to say that I won't be doing the same dumb stuff I did earlier. Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EDIT: I've just decided to rr-create the old park instead of make a new park under the same name, so I just deleted all the screen shots that I had here. Stick with me, I'm just being indecisive (It happens sometimes). Not everything will be the same, but I'll try my best to make as similar as possible Sorry for the un-neccesary early bump. EDIT 2: I have now finished the re-creation of the park, I will have photos up tommorow morning!
GCI Wooden
I am proud to announce that I have finished the recreation, and I'm ready to show you guys pictures! I hope you enjoy! If you don't know why I haven't updated this thread in a while, look at the posts previous to this one. Here, I'll be showing some screenshots of the new ride, Blue Lightning now that it is fully landscaped and testing! Take a look! Cedar Valley is back! Sorry for not updating this thread throughout the winter, you can see why in the post previous to this one. The new ride is Blue Lightning, which is now testing and fully landscaped! It's shown cresting the lift hill. It looks beautiful over the water! After this element, it goes into a corkscrew. Here's a shot of it in the corkscrew. Fly through this helix and into the brake run. Here it is in the brake run!
GCI Wooden
Stephani Camero- Season-pass holder Hey everyone, I was at the park yesterday and I found something that you all will find VERY interesting, LAND CLEARING! It was a very busy day at the park, but this made me very happy! In line for Ladybug Run, noticed a very large area of cleared land. I found it very strange that this park would allow for guests to see cleared land. They seemed really open, when it was very difficult to see Blue Lightning land clearing. We got the back seat. It is an "OK" kiddie ride. We waited a long time for Avalanche so I could see just how big the cleared land is. View from the top of Avalanche's list hill. This is a very big area! Here's something that I found amusing, Even though this is the only kiddie ride in the park, there is not a single shild in the train! And of course we took a ride on the park's new hotness! Still running great! What do you think is coming to Cedar Valley next year?
