Billy Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 what did Intamin get right with Storm Runner? why does she work well while all others are malfunctioning majorly? Youd think by now theyd get it right with the lauched rides. its just sad , it sucks and its not safe.

Carnage Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 ^ You could say the exact same thing about TTD last year and then it blew a gearbox on labour day and was done for the year(minus one weekend or so). Even when these rocket coasters are working properly they're running on borrowed time. It just seems like it's always not "if" something is going to brake, it's "when" something is going to brake.
Carnage Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 ^ Yes it was. It broke on labour day. I was there two weeks afterwards and it was still closed. And it didn't re-open till sometime in mid to late October. (but only lasted a weekend before breaking down again).
