Recommend a video card!

My video card in my desktop died, and I need a new one. Unfortunately, I know about nothing about video cards. I need some recommendations. Here are some things I want:

 

(1) A reasonable price

(2) Be able to play some high-end video games fairly well. (Not flawless, but not lagging, etc.) (See RCT3/Battlefield 2)

 

I'm open to any suggestions, and if you could provide reasons why I should get said video card, they would be greatly appreciated.

While we are on topic, I need one too. My computer came with a Nvidia GForce 5200. It's horrible.

I might need a new video card on my laptop, I'm not sure cause when I intsalled rct 3 , it worked without lagging but there was alot of stuff missing like the tracks were see through when they werent supposed to and sometimes the graphics f**k up
