CreativeForce Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 So a friend of mine hipped me onto the Lost ARG (Alternate reality game). Basically it takes place in the Lost television show universe and it explores more of the Hanso foundation. (Supposedly the corporation that developed the Dharma program and the island.) It's been really intresting so far (and a little creepy). It started with phone number during last weeks episode which gives you a password at the website for the Hanso foundation. Just wondering if any other TPR members are getting as intrigued as I am.
Meteornotes Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I'm not getting involved personally, but I've been following the progress on another board (jinxworld.com, home of Brian Michael Bendis) where many of the users have Lost fever and are trying to figure everything out. I'm impressed so far with the effort of whoever is running the game. It's an interesting marketing idea. dt
rollermonkey Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 I've heard quite a bit about this show. Since I live in Japan, I can't watch it. Is there a specific reason why it is so popular? It seems to have the same mystique that Twin Peaks had in the first season: A mystery and odd characters with intersting connections.
DeliriumTrigger Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Well its one of those shows that can keep you on the edge of your seat, and the mystery of it plays a big part in it. For every question they answer, it opens ten more questions, and at the end of the episode you're just waiting for the next episode so you can find out more. I think the biggest part of the show is the audience interaction. Yea, we don't interact directly with the show, but its one of those shows you like to get together with your friends and try to figure it out. The thing that amazes me the most is how incredibly elaborate it can get.
obeygiant Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Finally someone knows what LOST is... I am a huge LOST fan (it's my favorite show) and I've been following the LOST Experience since it started. It's gotten better each week, and so has LOST. But, only 2 shows left .... This will keep me going all summer though...
