Delete post button

Is it just me or does it seem like the button for deleting one of your posts(the little X) is only coming up for the very last post you made?

 

I just deleted a double post of mine, but then noticed only one of my posts had the button on it. Once I deleted the dupe, the X showed up on the previous post(which now would have been my last post).

You can still delete your post after the X goes away.

 

I have another question, why can you delete your posts in some of the forums but not in all of them?

Or is it a time thing or something? It's kind of confusing.

 

Sometimes when the forum hicups I want to delete the double post, but it won't let me.

1) Click the edit button

2) Check the box off that says delete post

3) Click submit

4) Your post is deleted!

That check box is only there while the X is.

 

I just checked on the post before yours. No X, and no delete post checkbox in edit mode.

 

Edit: The check box does show up for this post though. which at the time of posting had the X.

Why isn't there a selection that lets you delete one of your threads that no one is reading or you don't want to go on anymore?

^ Because that is an archive forum for popular trip reports.

 

You're supposed to post trip reports to the main forums.

So could one of the Mods answer - or maybe the Alveys themself...

 

Why are some threads with an optional {Delete} button available...and others...not?

 

I don't see any cohesive "deciding" which is more important to keep all posts, altho there are a few I must admit...I think... anyway, that's my curiosity question for the week, too, LOL.
