joseramone Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 `Hi everybody. I live in Spain and me an one friend are planning to visit NY area from the 31st July to the 7th August. We will stay in Monmouth Junction, NJ, and, of course we will visit SFGAd( 2 days visit ), and SFNE, and we have one day more to see other park in the area. Iwould like to know what park you recomend to visit( around 200 miles around ) SFAm, Dorney Park, Hersheypark, or if it´s others nearby. Thanks a lot.
pete4winds Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 If you're going to SFGadv first THEN SFNE, take a side trip to Lake Compounce in Bristol CT on the way. Dorney, Hershey, and SFAm are all great parks, but Compounce is well worth your time...none of those other parks have Boulder Dash.
Jeezus Juice Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Hershey, Dorney, and Knoebels are pretty near by. Lake Compounce and Quassy are on the way to SFNE. SFA is just about 150 miles away and PKD and BGE are another 50 or so from that. Have fun! It's a really cool area! -Don
FLIPDUDE Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 I never realized there were so many parks near NY... anyhoo, you could fit in coney island at some point. I know its not all that great, but since it's in brooklyn itself, it only takes up half a day instead of a whole day, so you still have time to sightsee, and stuff.
tinhead Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 If your staying in NY go ride Cyclone on Coney Island.......
Jonathan Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Knoebels is possibly my favorite park in the entire country, so that would be my suggestion. It's about 200 miles from Jackson, NJ (Six Flags Great Adventure), and 160 miles from New York City.
