MrTwister
What shoulf I pay for Motels in NorthEast USA? Motel 6 made it for roundabout 55$. Are there chances, when I book no Motel, that I will find some cheaper on my route from NY, SFGA,Hershey,CP,NY? One of my uncle said that there will be almost on every corner a motel. And some prices from 10 to open up $. But it was years ago when he travel to USA...
Twister II
The average rate should be around $65 a night to $95 a night for a nice hotel. Motels generally aren't my favorite, but between $50 and $70 would be about right. SharkTums
It depends on when you're travelling. If it's off season, you don't have to book anything ahead of time and you can pick up 'discount coupon books' at rest stops and get some good deals. During the summer though, it's probably best to book ahead of time.
USRoadTripper
When in need of a hotel on short notice, on a major highway, I've never had to pay more than $40 by using the Traveller guides and such. My mom and I stayed in one once for around $26, but you get what you pay for! It was scary, dirty and I was never so happy to leave a hotel in my life! I've never had a problem with the hotels in the $35 to $40 range though. It is always a good idea when getting an inexpensive room to ask to see the room you would be getting first. This way, if there is something blaringly obvious that would make you not stay there, you would see it ahead of time. -Julie
