coasterke Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I say this on every forum where I see this post... Allright...here goes... YAH SURE, AND IM THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND! Thank you for these 5 seconds of your attention. I'd love to see this "project" become reality, as I'm Belgian. But eh...no. Well...no. It's just that...no...
thomas2 Posted May 28, 2006 Author Posted May 28, 2006 Well guys they are really trying to built this resort. The designers are waiting for a positive respone of the governement of Walloon to start construction. The governement will let their decision know by the end of May. The project designers have land to built on, talked with B&M and Intamin for a diving machine and rocket coaster and there are 4 big Belgian banks that want to finance there project. The direct cost will be 500-750 million euros. We'll see what happens... http://www.themeparkvision.be/NL/info/infocus/nieuwtjes2006/belgie/fer.asp

(and I still am sceptic about this)
thomas2 Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 Okay finally some new info on the website that explains alot! http://www.hlinvestment.eu/ I still don't know what to think of this...
larrygator Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 are those bloodshot eyeballs or hemorrhaging breasts in the middle of the crayon drawing?
RCfanatic Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Its highly unlikely this park will ever be built: 1) With those drawings they wont get alot of investments. 2) Its being built in Walloon, wich unfortunately isn't exactly the richest part f Belgium => less guests => again less investments. 3) There are already alot of good theme parks in Belgium so this park will probarly have alot of competition and therefore is unlikely to succede. 4) The owners want to build B&M's and Intamins, for a park with such bad odds its (sadly) unlikely that will ever happen. (Hopefully the current parks will build a few Swiss coasters in the future...) I hope i didn't made any mistakes in these arguments, but we have to face the facts, the odds are against them. Don't get me wrong, i would love to see this park be build and its beautiful how these people are determent to build their park, but i just had to stress the facts before anyone became overentheusiastic.
Ccron10 Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 The site plan kind of looks like it was drawn up with a crayon. Sorry! To me, a park being planned 6 or 7 years in advance has to be a VERY good park. But what am I saying, I'm building a model roller coaster starting 3 years in advance.
