astroworldfan Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Robb & Elissa- Just wanted to see if you guys are going to be at the park on either of those days. Also going to KBF on 4/15. I'd love to meet you guys and catch a few rides with you. I will be sporting my new TPR shirt! 2nd- If you guys arent there, any suggestions on how to take in the most rides in park? [what order???] I will get there Thursday late (13th) and be there Friday morning at opening. Rob was saying something on the podcast about it. 2b) Same question for KBF. I also have SFOT pass, would that help? Thanks >>>Jerry
SharkTums Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 We'll both be working, but there's a chance we can either get out early, or meet you for a late ride. On your opening day here's your plan: RUN TO X If Deja Vu is open go there next Riddler Batman Goliath Colossus Scream Goldrush Psyclone Viper Kiddies Flashback will be closed, Tatsu will still not be open, meaning Revolution will also still be closed. If lines are horrible consider getting Fastlane. Your SFoT pass will get you right in through the Season Pass (or any line for that matter). From what I've seen at Knotts: Ghostrider Silver Bullet Xcelerator Other Stuff. Ghostriders line just doesn't seem to move as well as the other stuff.
astroworldfan Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 Working.. thats no fun. I figured you guys might be. I would love to catch up with you guys for a few early/late rides (or whatever time..) maybe on Thursday night. (Park closes at 10) I should be there about 5-6pm til close Thursday and at opening on Friday. ~~~ How much is parking? Is there a hotel that you recommend that I stay at? (No frills necessary) Walking distance would be optimal for hotel.
SharkTums Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Yeah, Thursday night should work. Cheapest walking distance would most likely be the Best Western Valencia, 2nd would be the Holiday Inn Express, closest but most expensive would be the Hilton Garden Inn. We can use Robb and my fastlanes that we get with our Xtreme Pass! Email me to touch base a bit closer!
robbalvey Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 There's a good chance I can get out of work early one of those days (5pm instead of 8pm) so I might be able to meet up in the evening. --Robb
ebl Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Parking at SFMM is $15, just so you know, astroworldfan. That's one reason why I get the Xtreme pass---with that, parking is $0. Eric
astroworldfan Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 Very cool. Elissa and Robb what is the best email for each of you? (I know that Robb has several) ~~ Thursday night is workable. Not 100% on time but it would be after 5 probably 6. We can email and square up the details.. ~ Eric, I am going to be in town for the weekend only, is an extreme pass worth it? (I already have SFOT pass)
SharkTums Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 If you stay within walking distance don't worry about parking! Don't get the pass just for parking, since you already have a season pass. Robb - robbalvey@aol.com Elissa - emeridithw2@aol.com
ebl Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 No, if you already have a SFoT pass, you're OK. And if you're walking or catching a ride with someone, then no also. But the Xtreme pass gets you 20% off of food at major food outlets (but not the carts), and 25% off of selected souvenirs. Hope you enjoy SFMM. We were there on Sunday and had a good time. Eric
robbalvey Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 ^ Yeah, you're better off just buying a couple of FastLane's if you need them.
Carnage Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 There's a good chance I can get out of work early one of those days (5pm instead of 8pm) so I might be able to meet up in the evening. --Robb Wow, 5PM is early? I bolt out the door the minute the clock hits 5PM.
astroworldfan Posted March 29, 2006 Author Posted March 29, 2006 I just sent you guys an email from my lycos account.. >>>Jerry
astroworldfan Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 How much is parking at Knott's now? >>> Jerry
SharkTums Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 ^$9 or $10...Or they have a 3 hour lot that's free!
astroworldfan Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 ^$9 or $10...Or they have a 3 hour lot that's free! Thats actually kinda nice....
astroworldfan Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 Just a quick update.. I will be staying at Hilton Garden Inn. Is that the closest of all hotels? How long is walk (time wise) to park? Is next Thursday night (4/13) still looking good for you guys?
