BrownStreak Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I have been to a few parks early in their season only to find half the rides not open yet and I was wondering if this was at all the case at Dollywood? I am probably the world's worst "topic searcher" so if this has been discussed, forgive me. I don't care that the water park will not be open, but want to do all of the coasters, the Slidewinder and their high tech log flume thingy. I've noticed the park goes immediately into almost daily operation except Tuesdays (poor Tuesdays) and I have Sunday/Monday off each week. Any tips/info?
SharkTums Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I've been in early April before and it was quite nice! Cold, but everything was running including water rides!
jarmor Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Get there early morning because its virtually empty at that time and go straight to thunderhead! I generally do all my theme park travels in the early part of the season because school is still in for the youngins!
alpengeist04 Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 ^Agreed, I try and stay away from amusement parks in July and August.
