Louise Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Booooo, you guys were out having fun while I was at home writing an essay. It's been a long time since I nipped over to Blackpool, and even longer since I rode some of the stuff there, seeing as the last two times I visited were with a coasterphobic and I felt guilty. Maybe next time. Glad you had a good time though, nice pics!
coasterdude5 Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Awesome pictures! Sorry if this has been asked, do you know if Revo is getting painted a different color or the same? Thanks.
Darien Laker Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Great Pics. Blackpool looks like it would be an interesting park to visit. Hopefully someday I can get over there. Those hills on the Big One are really shallow. Do you get air-time on them? I can't imagine any kind of floater air, those hills all come to a distinct point at the top, unlike most hyper's hills.
martinb Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I visited in feb last year, and Im never going then again, the queue's were horrific, but I go there every August and there's never any queue's, very strange because if you go to Alton Towers in the summer you'll be lucky to get on 4 rides per day! Hey 'Shockwave', I have a question for you, Did Spin Doctor have all its sign's in place? because on: http://theblackpoolpleasurebeachguide.moonfruit.com/ theres pictures that the Spin Doctors signs have been removed, also Brighton Pier have confirmed that there getting a Twin Fabbri Booster! Wild Mouse rocks, favourite ride there, along with Grand National!!!
Shockwave Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 ^Yeah, Spin Doctor is getting removed at some point in the near future. The signage has all but gone. Pepsi Max isn't famous for its airtime, but it has a couple of nice moments. Sitting at the back of the train going over the first drop is terrifying!
martinb Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 ^ Yep, totally agree, Ive only sat at the back of PMBO once and its was horrible getting flung over the top of the lifthill, lifting out of my seat 200ft+ was sooo scary!!
Hicko Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Even better with your arms in the air. You feel like your gonna get flung into the sea
