GMail

I've been wanting to switch my email address to GMail. I was wondering if anyone has GMail and if it sucks. I like the idea that I can use a POP3 mail client to check my messages (it is a premimum service with Yahoo and others). I created an account at Google and then learned that you have to be invited to join GMail (or I can join with a cell phone using SMS or something). I don't have a cell phone - if someone has GMail - email me an invitation!!

it's not bad. I use it as a backup email.

No, I love it! The spam/phishing filter is the tits! Its much better than any others I've used.

I like how it groups emails into conversation threads.

 

Some freinds and I have huge conversations. We've sent thousands of emails back and forth. The threads roll over at 150 emails. We've probably done that at least 20 times.

The only thing I wish it had was a notepad function like Yahoo. Right now I just have a draft of an email that I use as a notepad.

 

A calendar would be nice too. And better HTML email support for Safari.
