^ Getting them in a week is EASY! Hell, getting them in a DAY is easy!

Here are the main coasters on the strip:

- Manhurtin' Express: NY, NY Hotel. There is rarely ever a line anymore, especially mid week. Go there, pay your $14 and ride! I *think* they offer re-rides for 1/2 price now.

- Canyon Blaster: Grand Slam Canyon (or whatever they are calling it now). This is actually a really cool place and we usually spend a good couple of hours here every visit. You don't get very wet at all on the "Rim Rummer" (gotta love that name!) and they have some decent flats.

- Speed: The Ride: since there isn't anything else here at the NASCAR Cafe, go pay your $12 (or whatever it is now) and get your ride. They do offer an all day wristband for about $20, and Speed is actually pretty decent, or at least it was the last time I rode, so it's a good deal if you want to ride a few times.

- High Roller: I haven't been up to the Stratosphere in quite some time, but I'm sure we might go on our next visit. Big Shot is still REALLY awesome, and from what I hear the two new rides are scary as hell! High Roller is weak, but kind of funny. You might want to plan some time here to ride a few things.

- Desperado: It's about a 30-40 minute drive from the strip. Well worth going to, even though the coaster isn't what it used to be. Plan 2 hours here.

The other two credits are at Peter Piper's Pizza and LV Mini Grand Prix. Both are just kiddies and they are about 10 minutes away from each other. You can easily get in both credits in about 30 minutes. Consult RCDB for locations of those places.

Hope this is the info you're looking for!

Where are you staying and eating!??! These are my two most important decisions when going to Vegas...the coasters are all pretty much a bust so it's all about the atmosphere!

I find it funny that Dan was mentioned ... is he even registered on these boards???

Anyway ... Monte Carlo is nice, although I have never actually stayed there it's one of my favorite casinos on the strip.

People bash Circus Circus, but I have never had a bad experience here. Even when they threw us in the Bungalo's across the street we still had an awesome time.

Excalibur is cool. Pretty much anywhere on the strip is good since you can pretty much get anywhere you want. So just find someplace on the strip, that's in your budget and you should be fine.

Remember, you don't spend that much time in your room, other than sleeping so as long as it's clean, you shouldn't have any problems.

The only hotel I have stayed at on the strip that I didn't like was the Stratosphere. Then again, we were with people we didn't really want to be with, so that may be it.

Out of the coasters in Vegas I have ridden, Speed is the best, followed by Canyon Blaster and Desperado. I have yet to go up the Statosphere, maybe next time. Now that I know there are some kiddie credits I'm sure I will hit them sometime.

Huh! I'm going to Vegas in June! We're going to stay at the MGM, I've ridden a lot of the rides on the strip, the only one I didn't get to ride that I want to is Speed. I heard a lot of cool stuff about it, I have to try it when we go!

I haven't been to Vegas since 2000, and have no idea when I'll get back (Mary HATES Vegas!), so my advice is pretty much out of date. LV amuses me, mostly for the collection of mutants, trolls and other disturbing folks haunting the casinos. I don't gamble, and have horrible memories of having to stand around watching someone dump quarters into a slot machine for hours on end...*shudder*

Anyway, like Robb said, you can probably get all the credits in a day. The only place in town I've stayed is at Excalibur, which was OK. 90% of the time I've been to Vegas it was for business, and since they jack up the room rates when there's a convention in town, I usually stayed out at the state line at Whiskey Pete's. Why? Well, rooms were $20 a night, it was only about a 20 minute or so drive to LV, you get to pass by a prison (complete with a sign warning you not to pick up hitchhikers) and the hotel has (among other amusements) The Bonnie & Clyde Death Car. I don't know about you, but any time the phrase "death car" is used, entertainment is sure to follow...
