New Patch for RCT3 Patch 3

Didn't see that anyone posted this so here it is. The New patch will load coaster and peep interfaces faster and adds Tunnels to RCT3. Will also let you add expansions packs out of order. So if you only want wild you don't need to get soaked. Gamespot also has info on this as well as the download avilable. It's 110 mega bytes though so if your on dialup you'll be downloading all night like me. I haven't add yet so I can't comment on it. take the link below for more info US version. or just use your update on your RCT3 Dwskunks...

It fixed tunnels. Thats all that Wild did. Installing this will make loading more quicker. Thank God...

Does Wild! have new elements for the Intamin Rocket and the B&M Divemachine?

No, but it has the Extended coaster, that has the most pieces of any coaster.

True the Expansions fixed alot of this, but I didn't get either of them due to the box on soaked wanting 64mb video (mines only 32 laptop can't really upgrade). Also won't let you load Wild without soaked. Now you can. The Patch seems to do quite a bit adding alot. Also adds billboards, stand alone sales stands, Fireworks previewer, Land cube thingys, and more. My computer had crashed again when I went to get the 10mb download it gave me this one. That's how I found out about it. It does slow somethings down though and less options for the video settings too. Unless you put it in customize. I need to play with it a little more so I'll post more then. It also added an extras box to the tutorial.

Ok After a little play with the patch here's the big changes;

Load bars when loading

Music changes to next track for park when done

Custom Stall

Custom Stall with Billboard (2 different ones)

Custom stall with roatating Billboard

Loud Speakers (allows you to put the same music all over)

Passport machines (guest visit and get a free gift after so many)

Jumping Fountains ( Yeah!!)

Tunnels for rides and Paths

CTRL key places scenery at height of last Piece or chosen on placed)

Terrian blocks ( no Idea yet as peep walk right trough them?)

Aslo in here Gates and walls for path tunnel entrances ect.

Particle generators for Fire mist and Smoke

Waterfalls

Mechanic button on food service

Training button on staff profile window

Fireworks preview window

OK so most of this stuff is in the expansions but for those who didn't get or can't run them this is a good thing. Also installs buttons for dancing fountains, lasers and Wild/soaked none of which work for Obivoius reasons Just the smoke, waterfalls and tunnels make it worth while for me. Also seems to run a little better on my system Overall I think if you don't have the expansions worth the download.

So I updated to patch 3, and now the damn game won't run. It goes to a black screen, like it did before just before it loaded the game, but now the desktop slowly fades back in (like I just turned on the monitor or something).

 

 

WTF??? I already made sure that my video card was updated and I have the latest version of Direct X. Oh, and by the way, I have Windows XP.

 

There was one thing that I noticed, though, while it was updating... it couldn't change the file "RCT3.dgf" because it couldn't find the original (I had replaced it with the 'Intel water fix' version of the file. Could that be it?

 

Any help would be appreciated... thanks!
