That's the second dumbest thing I've ever read, right behind that Googlezon tin foil hat theory someone else came up with. Oprah secretely transmitting threats to Dave via television? If there was ever a time to use this this is it.

verrrry interesting. lots of speculation, though, and lots of "alleged" and "insiders say". that always makes me suspicious. any time i read a story where it says "insiders say....", that basically means who ever wrote it made that part up.

Well, how many news reports have said "allegedly" or "alleged"? Every night, I hear:

"Michael Jackson was allegedly charged with rape."

Or:

"O.J. Simpson allegedly commited murder."

I've read elsewhere that this is a "Viral Marketing" campaign for the new season of the Chappelle Show. The website domain is registered to a well-known marketing company, soooo... take it for what you will. But if people are emailing it to one another saying "OMG Check this out!", it's working as designed.

^ They're advertising it as the third season, but it's basically the sketches from the eight episodes that Chappelle shot before he quit. No in-between bits with Dave and the audience.

They showed a clip on the otherwise god-awful "Last Laugh '05" (when Lewis Black and David Cross aren't funny, there's got to be a problem) and the select scenes they showed were really promising. Alot of it seemed to be sketches dealing with Dave coping with his newfound fame. Ironic in hindsight.

It sucks that he quit, man. Sure, Mind of Mencia is good, but it's definately nothing compared to Chappelle's Show. Until he does something else, I have the DVDs and the enjoyable commentary tracks they hold. I'm a big fan of commentaries. That's why I hated the Team America DVD.

What pissed me off was, they had that avertising last summer, and I was looking forward to the release of the new episodes and then nothing. Then they delayed it until February '06. If they delay it again, the only reason should be to make an actual 3rd season... but I don't think that's happening.

I blame Viacom.
