Bubba Z Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 OK, so I went into Camden to check out the Battleship of NJ and I saw this sitting on a flat bed in a scrap yard. I then went on Flat joint to figure out what it did and wonder if it was any good? So as the topic says, has anyone ridden one of these, and if so can you still find them at carnivals ? If you know Bruce tell him his truck is in Camden with this on it . I also saw a Bunch of other play structures like the one's you find in Mcdonald's So have you been on this, is it any fun ? Tempest checked out Philly. The Black Dragon.
andrea Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I've never seen one of those before but I read where someone said that it was very fun, he said that while the cage moves the seats inside the cages move also.
USRoadTripper Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I've ridden one. They're ok, but nothing that special. If I recall correctly, the tub you sit in turns, then the arms the tub sits on turns also. So you get waves of force pushing you into your seat. Similar in sensation to a Scrambler, only you are inclined...I dunno, 30 degrees? -Julie
DenDen Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I rode one at West View Park before it closed. I was very young, and remember not liking it because I was too small for the ride. http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Index%20Pages/tempest.html
FlyingScooter Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Conneaut used to have one. Nothing major. I rode it a few times.
Jeff128319 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I went on one of those this summer at a fair near my house. It's okay for a spinning flat ride, but made me sick.
