Shockwave Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 OK, as I'm going to Florida in March next year, I was thinking about going upto this park for a day if it's open, and if I can squeeze it into my plans. So to those who are in the know about this park, is it worth a trip there? And do you think it'll be open in March? (I can't open the park's website to get any clues)
coaster1 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Park is decent, you can get a cheap season pass at Cypress Gardens that is good for both parks. They are open year-round so most likely they will be open in March. 9 Coasters, free Screamin' Swing, lot's of Zamperla rides and what not .. I enjoyed my visit there in 2003.
CoasterCrazy Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Yes, the park will be open in March and IMO the park is worth going to. If you want to see some pictures of Wild Adventures click here.
DerekRx Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 It shouldn't take you too long at Wild Adventures, as long as you plan on going during a day that there isn't a concert of major proportions going on. Just check out the website closer to the time of your trip to see if any concerts are going on, and if there are change your plans. The best time I think to go to WA is on a Sunday. There won't be but 5 other cars in the lot until after church lets out.
Slacking Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I went on a Monday afternoon in late August. There were about 25 people in the park. It was insane! I wasn't a big fan of the park, but if you've never been, you can never go wrong with 9 credits (got my 200th credit there.)
Erik Johnson Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 What is funny is that Wild Adventures is technically my home park, but I have yet to visit there.
colinmom71 Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Here's their calendar for 2006 - http://wildadventures.net/calendar.asp And yeah, I think it's worth squeezing in an afternoon visit. I've been a couple of times and found it to be a nice little park. It's geared more towards general audience/family crowds, but there are some decent thrill rides to enjoy. The only thing I found objectionable about WA is the food service! The food there is just not at all good, except maybe the pre-made cotton candy (which is pretty hard to screw up). I'd advise you to hit exit 18 or 16 for a meal before heading out to the park.
