PAddLePoP
G'Day everyone!!! I'm heading over from Australia on Dec 15th this year and going to be checking out SFMM, Knotts and going upto Vegas and San Fransico. I'm wondering if you can give me some advice as to what the crowds are like at this time of year, the weather and any other general tips? Thanks in advance everyone! SharkTums
Starting Dec. 17th the park is open daily thru the 24th, closed Christmas, then open again daily the 26th thru the 8th. Xmas week will be bad, try for either the week before or depending on how long you're in town for that first week in January is always DEAD!!! If you want to ride X get to the park with your tickets in hand by 9:30 (if you don't have tickets yet, get there earlier). Run right to X. Then Deja Vu and everything else. If it's very crowded you can buy Fastlane tickets which will allow you only a 15 min wait on Riddler, Scream, Goliath, Colossus (that's what I would normally use them on). Let us know when you'll be in town! Hope this helps, feel free to ask more specific questions!
PAddLePoP
Thanks heaps for the info!!! I was thinking of checking it out on my first weekend there which is the 17th/18th December and then go up to Vegas, to San Francisco and then back to LA where I may check out SFMM again, first week of Jan as you suggested. I want to get as many rollercoasters in as I can until I return to Melbourne in Australia where I live which is almost completley rollercoaster-less!!! downunder
Hasn't Luna Park in St Kilda got coasters, probably on par with our Luna Park in Sydney with our mighty mouse - I tried to imagine the bunny hops were the camelbacks on ride of steel, it didn't work. Another tip on Magic Mountain (I was there in september, day after the TPR do - bummer), the single rider line on Deja Vu will save you a lot of time. Good luck - I hope X is up, it was vallied the day I was there.
PAddLePoP
The coasters at Luna Park are crap!! not one inversion! Another question, I will be going there by myself, do they have a seperate line for single riders? Is it quicker?
SharkTums
Deja Vu has a single rider line at SFMM. That's the only one there.
DATman
I'm going between the 28th and 31st. I have some random tickets, so I'll be bringing like 3 friends. I just may do a Titsu Update! If people wanna meet up when I figure out the date, just tell me!

PAddLePoP
Just got back from SFMM. Must say was a great day, the crowd was VERY light, everything was pretty much a walk on. I got in: Scream x 3 X x 2 Viper Collosus Psyclone Goliath x 2 Deja Vu Riddlers x 2 Batman I didn't go on superman because I have been on the Tower Of Terror in Australia at Dreamworld and it is the same ride, Ninja and revolution were closed. My fav ride is of course X, followed by Riddlers (fantastic!), then either Goliath or Scream. Thanks everyone for the tips! Oh and I worked out what was up with the website, for some reason it doesn't work in Australia but works fine from the US.... strange!
