thrillrider1
I rented call of duty 2: big red one, and first of all: it is FAR more superior then finest hour, which was crap, and this is good. anyway it say i hyave to go through the dragons teeth and enter germany, but whenever i go in i get picked off by the tower dudes in like 3 seconds, and when i shoot them they come back, and when i hide behind the blocks, the bullets still hit me no matter what position im in. what the hell man!? its still fun though. robbalvey
Well, Dragons Teeth is towards the end of the game, and you know what they say about the end - it's supposed to be hard! Â --Robb

thrillrider1
ok, so i got by it. and i blew up the rockets, and that was it. the rockets fall on the tanks and the games over. then they show a war history film about a bunch of battles that SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN THE GAME! now that got me mad but its still better then medal of honor, but will never be better then brothers in arms. its just too good. good game overall but it only took me about 2 days to beat it on normal mode. the game is fun, only drawbacks are 1.the game was just too short, 2. and the tanks are hard to steer. good game, short story, severe lack of donkeys. SLUSHIE
I got a question. Â Why was it decided to call the game Call of Duty 2: Big Red one, insdead of Call of Duty: Big Red One. I think it was a weird decision since that it is (or at least i think it is) runing on the CoD engine and not the updated Cod2 engine. I also think its wierd because it will confuse people about the CoD2 PC and Xbox 360 verson.

robbalvey
I'm actually not really able to make comments about the game or the games development, sorry. All I can say about the name is that it was decided that it would be LESS confusing to differentiate the next gen (PC and 360) versions from the current gen console versions. Â At least that way people know there is a difference between the games under the "COD2" brand. Â --Robb

SLUSHIE
I think that CoD2 is a great game, but there are a few things that I didn't like about it. Â The game only supports Direct X 7 and 9. Why does it not support Direct X 8? My GeForce FX 5700 supports Direct X 9, but runs very slow. I thought it was dumb to loose so much quality because I had to drop to Direct X 7. Also when running in Direct X 7 there was a lot of bugs. Many of the decals in the game (marks left from grenades and stains on buildings) would be blue or pink. I found it dissapointing that there was no physics in the game. I think its weird that such a new game would not have some kind of physics. Because of having no physics, everything was animated. Since everything was animated it had a cartoony feel that sort of clashes with the look of the game. The game lets you play as a Russian, British, and American soldier and I found that to not go well with the story. There is no link between the different campaigns, and I felt that it really made no sence and did not flow together at all. I know there is pretty much no story, and the game it pretty much clear out the bunker and such, but it still felt odd.
Erik Johnson
I guess you should have bought the console version of the game. You dont have those kind of problems with the Xbox version. While I love PC games, I just get tired of having to keep uodating you computer every 6 months in order to play the newest games.

ChrisZer0
^ i concur. CoD2 (PC-DVD) is great. I esp like the whole documentary/behind the scenes extras. Ive checked out the 360 demo and it looks just as good, but I always think shooters on PC have better control.
