Angry_Gumball Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Ok, I've been trying to google a pov of Florida's Spacie but had no luck. I do have a POV of California's SM shot in Night-Vision (and you can see where you're going) and was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a POV similar to that of Floridas version. Thanks in advance.
ebl Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 ^ Oh, I'd like to see that Disneyland Space Mountain POV. Is that in a format that you can share? Eric
Angry_Gumball Posted November 3, 2005 Author Posted November 3, 2005 Ok. Here's the link to Night vision of DLR's un-remodeled Spacie: This needs Real Player BTW Parts of the Night-Shot SM was cut out because areas were completely black. Music was cut along with it. And I found this on Myspace: Space Mountain (DLR Remodelled) with lights on. This can be found here I want to find a POV of WDW's version to compare it to our version, and I just want to see what it's like.
YoshiFan Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I remember seeing a POV of the WDW ride but it was so dark you couldn't see anything other than the beginning, lift hill and end parts of the ride. If I remembered the URL I would post it. I downloaded the 2nd video you posted with the lights on and I after seeing it I am almost certain the ride at WDW is longer. WDW's ride is 2 minutes and 38 seconds long (according to that Disney World guide that you see in bookstores) and even with the lift hill taken into account, I don't think the one at Disney Land is that long/
ebl Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I've ridden both sides of WDW's Space Mountain (they are pretty much mirror images of each other) and found it to be quite enjoyable. Compared to Disneyland's, one advantage is that you sit in line, Matterhorn style, but up on a seat with a lap bar. Also, the course has a better mix of both left- and right-hand turns, and there's a good helix in the middle. Eric
SLUSHIE Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Well there were like halfway through the course already in the vieo.
YoshiFan Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Oh, that would make sense why the ride seemed so short then. I have never been to Disneyland so I just figured it was the whole ride.
arrowfanman Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Sorry, but I cant tell from the video... Is the new Space Mountain heartlined? Because it didn't look like it, but when I rode it, it felt like it.
