The Angry Darren Mullins
July 8, 2017: Sun Park, Weinan, Shaanxi, China Sun Park is in the city of Weinan. It has an area of amusement park rides that includes a loopscrew. The loopscrew is named Roller Coaster and it became coaster #1070 for me to ride. It seemed the track was warped in several places (it is actually designed like this) and it was not smooth when going through the corkscrew element. The park is forgettable, but has easy access from the train station. It is a five minute bus ride away from the train station. There is a large Ferris Wheel here and a pavilion with two large pools. This is a nice park, but only worth the trip if you have extra time on your hands. Sun Park became park #541 for me to visit. I have arrived at Sun Park this morning. I love how the Ferris Wheel towers above the gate. There are several rides here. Here is the carousel shot for this park. An area with swimming pools is covered by a roof. The exterior of ever haunted house in China seems different. A big loopscrew is here. It is similar to many other coasters. Here is the first loop. This is where the ride starts to become painful. OTSRs....just as I thought.... This photo will close out the TR.
jynx242
Thanks for posting! Is this a knock-off Loop-Screw or is it Vekoma??
The Angry Darren Mullins
Of course....it is...a Chinese knockoff. The Vekoma would have ridden much better.
cparkes92
This actually looks like a knockoff of an Arrow loopscrew, based on the layout.
The Angry Darren Mullins
Yes. An Arrow loopscrew is more like it, but those do not look like the track is warped.
