JessSparkz Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Hi all, New to this website but my kids adore theme parks and we're planning a theme park themed holiday for my eldests 10th, so I thought why not join and try to figure out where to take the family? We live in England but we're thinking of travelling abroad for this trip. Anyway, this reminded me of something I saw on Facebook a while ago: Disneyland London. I thought it may be fake at first, but nope! It's true... Walt is coming to Britain! In case you don't believe me, here are a couple of links: -https://www.theguardian.com/travel/shortcuts/2016/apr/26/disneyland-london-kent-theme-park -http://www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/entertainment/news/a42914/disneyland-london-launch-date/ Oddly enough, it's being built in Kent... not too far from London, but far enough to make it a little odd that it's going to be seemingly London themed. Thoughts? I'm excited about it, I mean we've got Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington etc but it was about time that Britain had it's own Disneyland. I already know my kids will go crazy for it... I've not told them the good news yet to save myself from a few years worth of constant nagging! That's all I've got to natter about today... til next time, folks - Jess x
DirkFunk Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 I assume you wrote the articles (which are clickbait, because the park is not a Disney park, its Paramount Studios) and are trying to syphon hits to them.
robbalvey Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 (edited) Welcome to the site. If you have spent any time around here at all, which is highly recommended that you should before creating an account, you'll know that we don't take to kindly to stupidity around these parts. If you would have actually bothered to *READ* the articles you linked to, you know reading is the thing in which your eyes see words and your brain converts them into logical thoughts so you can have an educated understanding of the text you are looking at, you would have realized that these are NOT "Disney" parks. In fact, the third sentence of one of the articles says this: It's good news for Paramount fans and day-trippers alike, after it was reported that plans are underway for a huge, Hollywood-themed attraction half an hour from London in Dartford, Kent - aka the London Paramount Entertainment Resort. All you would have need to do is "read." Let me just point out that people like yourself are *exactly* responsible for all the false news getting spread around over the recent months and because of this sort of non-fact checking stupidity, we now have a complete moron as the President of the United States making America looking like a complete embarrassment, and your country passed Brexit, making England looking like the laughing stock of Europe. My advice to you? Read before you share stupidity and false stories with others. Thank you for READING. Edited April 6, 2017 by robbalvey

Henry M Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 I don't want to be the guy that comes off as a kiss A$$ or piles on but that entire post was tremendous. Exactly what I was thinking There must be a reason why this is not blocked, but as it is not, I guess we can comment on "Disneyland London". It actually kind of happened once: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dismaland
