robbalvey Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 My webhost has informed me that they are doing some work on the server right now that should off load some traffic. This should be a permanent solution to some of the 'slow down' the site has been having lately. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. Basically you shouldn't have to wait longer than 5 seconds to load ANYTHING. Most of the time it should be instant. --Robb "Thanks for your patience!" Alvey
robbalvey Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 It appears that some changes have been made on the server. At the moment on my end, the forum is running lighting FAST! Although I'm still getting a "Debug Error" when trying to send a PM, but the host is looking into that. Anyone else having issues? --Robb
Nrthwnd Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I just got a error thing when I posted in another thread. But the post still showed up. Hmmm. Crazy old computers, lol. May happen with this one, too, but that's ok. Progress..... ( Nope - didn't. Yay TPR!!! )
CoasterCrazy Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I just had the DEBUG MODE problem when I was posting in the Word Game thread. My post still went through and it was posted twice!
Nrthwnd Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 That's what I was getting too! ^ Then I checked, and my post still got posted. Only once, tho, not two times like most others did. Now, with mine at least, it doesn't seem to be doing that anymore.
Hattuchili Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 ^^ Same error here. But it was posted. --Sören
Shockwave Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I couldn't get on at all this morning, but it's running at light speed now. 8)
robbalvey Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 Are you guys still getting the errors as of now? --Robb
Meteornotes Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I posted about five times this morning, and I've seen no errors. I've also not gotten any "connection" errors, and it does seem faster. dt
chauncey Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Are you guys still getting the errors as of now? --Robb Nope. I was having lots of problems yesterday, particularly towards the end of the day, but today they're all gone. I haven't seen any improvements, either, though. Just running the way it always has, for me.
robbalvey Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 ^ Is that good or bad? If anyone is still experiencing any consistent slowness on the forum please let me know ASAP as this was supposed to be fixed last night. --Robb
