Given that it has only happen a few times over the years I'd say it's pretty unlikely anyone here has had that experience, but who knows.

Is it really that rare. Cuz I would think it happens a bit more then a few times a year. Like for example the zipper I know that ride can get stuck upsidedown for a bit for example.

I actually have been stuck upside down on a ride. It was the "Spin Out" ride at a local fair many years ago. We spent about 35-40 minutes upside down. Turns out during the ride cycle someone's pocket knife came out of their pocket, and got wedged in the gears of the ride causing it to stop rotating... leaving us dangling upside down.

The only reason I know it was a pocket knife is because the ride operator eventually got the pocket knife out of the gears and asked "WHO HAD A POCKET KNIFE ON THE RIDE???" ... and they were really not happy about the situation.

The ride I was stuck upside down on was similar to the one in the picture below, and we were stuck in the position shown in the photo.

It was NOT a fun experience. All the blood rushing to my head gave me a horrible migraine, which put an end to the day at the fair for us.

I actually only thought of coasters initially but now you mention it (and this this example ^) I guess it can happen on these inverting flat rides more often.

ouch that does not sound fun I can imagine it might ruin the experience in a situation like this.I take it you still love roller coasters and rides though!

I do still love roller coaster and most flat rides! I'm not a huge fan of spinning flat rides any more... but that's just because they always make me feel so sick. The older I get the less spinning around in small circles I can handle.

Yeah i kind of feel the same way too like right now I wish i could just marathon the most intense looking rides right now but the issue is I just feel like I would start to feel sick fast cuz i am getting older. Roller coasters are fine and some rides that last less then 2 min but like if a ride lasts 5 min i dont see myself doing to well right now :/

My friends and I got stuck upside down on Brain Surge (chance unicoaster/downforce) at Nickelodeon Universe when it soft-opened. They were basically having a lot of issues where it would stop mid-cycle or would fail to park properly. We happened to be upside down when it shut off, and we basically just waited 5-10 minutes for maintenance to come pull a lever allowing them to manually put our seats back in place.
