LuminousAphid
Hey everybody, I was just looking at the Puyallup Fair (our state fair here in WA) for later this summer, and realized they now have one of these: http://rcdb.com/6478.htm Has anyone here ever ridden one? How about other coasters by Top Fun? Any good at all? It looks like it could be a fun little coaster, but it will probably cost $5+ on top of admission to the fair, so I'm not sure it would be worth it. I wouldn't even bother going to the fair except they also have the wooden coaster and monster mouse, which I don't think I have ridden. The last time I was there, the fair attracted some of the worst people.
robbalvey
By all means you should ride it!
VegasBaby
I would check it out for sure, it looks pretty fun for a fair coaster. Most fairs have unlimited ride wristbands, so I would buy one and then get as many rides on the coasters as I could.
Canobie Coaster
Hey everybody, I was just looking at the Puyallup Fair (our state fair here in WA) for later this summer, and realized they now have one of these:http://rcdb.com/6478.htm Has anyone here ever ridden one? I'd give it a row, but prepare to ride defensively.
LuminousAphid
It's a unique coaster, but I remember hearing that it was incredibly rough during its time at Santa's Village. I'd give it a row, but prepare to ride defensively. That's what I was afraid of If I do end up giving it a try, I will try to get some off-ride shots and make sure I report back on how much it tries to hurt me! I survived 2 rides on the 31-year-old arrow looper at my home park earlier this year , so this can't be much worse. It's always funny to me when I see "inclined loop" as an element. It's so close to an inversion, yet so far!
cal1br3tto
I would call it "marginally rideable" at best, and even that might be a stretch. Then again, I have willingly ridden it twice. You definitely need to figure out how to ride it defensively. I would recommend planning your visit carefully as different offers are available for different days, and need to be purchased in advance (either exclusively, or just for the best deal). As with most carnivals, it can be tricky to determine the most cost-effective option (or maybe that's just me). The wristbands are limited to specific days, but well worth it when available, as Classic Coaster is super-marathonable if lines are reasonable. Sadly, the Monster Mouse has been gone for a few years. I don't even think it's for sale anymore. It was the second best coaster in the park. Even Kersplash is gone now. The last time I was there, the fair attracted some of the worst people. Side note, I used to absolutely despise this fair, but I've been several times and now I love it. Not to sound elitist (whoops) but the last couple times I thought the crowds were a bit more "classy" than the usual fairgoing stereotypes.
