K1ngdaKa88
There is a smaller Park near Europapark with a long alpine coaster. The Park is called Steinwasen Park. Link to the Website If you like Waterparks, there is an indoor Waterpark nearby Europapark and Steinwasenpark. Link to the Website If you book the tickets in advance, you can save money, but not very much! If you book now at ticket for Holiday Park, you can save about 2$. Here you can book these Tickets for Holiday Park At Europapark you can save about 7-8$. Here you can book these Tickets for Europapark I hope I can help you with this. dcxs
Thank you! We might definitely check out Steinwasen Park, good tip Also one question I forgot is, what type of crowds can we expect for these parks? Right now were looking at Holiday Park on Saturday 11th of April and Europa Park Monday 13th. Nothing is set in stone though.
K1ngdaKa88
I don't know how the crowds are, monday I think there won't be too big crowds. On Saturday I'm not sure how the crowd is, but at Holiday Park there is a fast pass available. If you are lucky that the weather is foggy, there won't be big crowds. It also depends on the local holidays. There were the Europapark is are holidays from March 30th - April 10th Another cool Theme Park near there is Tripsdrill. Werner
For other things to do, you could use: www.coast2coaster.eu it's a map showing 'all' coasters on the planet. And it includes Alpines too... That are the weeks of the Germans Easter holidays, don't know about crowds. But Europa just eats people with their rides and shows! For discounts you could check if you still get free entry to Europa with Liseberg or Tivoli Season Pass. This used to be the deal, don't know if it still works this way. It does with Efteling. Adervus
You should definitely check out Tripsdrill when you are in that area in Germany. I love the Gerstlauer launched coaster "Karacho" there ( ). For Europa-Park, there are usually no discounts available at all (except in combination with hotel stays). Even at the official online shop K1ngdaKa88 mentioned you pay exactly the same as at the park directly. Holiday Park on the other hand is often working together with local partners to offer vouchers like "pay for one person and another person's entry is free". But it's kinda hard to find those specials when you are not from the area. Sometimes Holiday Park offers voucher codes for their online shop and posts them on Facebook (link). I would recommend to check out their page a few days before your journey and maybe ask on their wall if anyone knows something about vouchers from local partners. Anyway, enjoy Expedition GeForce! It's a really great coaster.
FreeFaller
There's Kurpfalzpark in Wachenheim that has an alpine coaster. It's close to Holiday Park! Check Holiday Park's website for special deals
Mauer02
Soo at first: you definetly should visit: -Holiday Park - Tripsdrill - Steinwasen Park - Europa Park ( at best 2 or 3 Days... 1 is definetly not enough) And there are also some Alpine Coasters in this Area, like: - Gutach ( Black Forest)http://www.sommerrodelbahn-gutach.de/ - Mehliskopf ( there is not only a Alpine Coaster from Wiegand, theres also a Dowhill Attraction and a crag) http://www.mehliskopf.de/klettergarten.asp And theres also much to see in Black Forest itself: -Mummelsee: http://mummelsee.de/ -Watherfalls at Triberg: http://www.schwarzwald.com/sehenswertes/triberg.html -and a funny way of minigolf: http://www.enzkloesterle.de/de/index.cfm?fuseaction=golfpark if you want to know more, you can also ask here, it is a german Fanforum about Europa Park, but they can also answer you your questions and give you some more ideas, also in english ( and there you also can finde another account of mine ): http://www.epfans.ch/index.php/Board/15-Ausfl%C3%BCge-in-der-Region-des-Europa-Parks/ (Yes, i life very near at the Europa Park)
