smallish Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Well, first I made a roller coaster, then I did the theming, and then I decided to make a video of it, and the video turned out being good! Windows Media 3.84 MB Check it out!
haydawg149 Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 pretty sweet . . . i just dont like the HUGE drops and quick turns . . .
ShoubraStreet74 Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 wow. looks like it must have taken a long time to make. Unfortunately it doesn't look like rct3 does tall and big coasters well, they end up being very rough and having unrealistically sharp turns. Anyway, how did you capture that video? Was it through a program like Fraps or some capture device?
coasterguy618 Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Nice video. I really like how the coaster is launched. BTW, how do you get an inverted coaster to launch?
coasterdude5 Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 ^Just use block brakes and choose your speed.
smallish Posted October 2, 2005 Author Posted October 2, 2005 Actually the inverted copact shuttle coaster (or whatever type of coaster that is- I forgot) has a powered launched mode (up to 40 mph). I captured the video by pressing control-shift-F11, and I got cool camera angles by getting in the coaster cam the zoom out and pan around.
pvcoasterguy Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Nice! I like the music and the track design is very good. I also like the trenches and other landscaping. Good job!
smallish Posted February 24, 2006 Author Posted February 24, 2006 New Video! I think I liked the old one more, actually. Well, maybe not. RCT3-5-0.wmv Download!
coasterfreak101 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 1st video: Pretty good, I liked it. But like everyone said, RCT3 (and this is really only noticed because you can ride the rides) doesn't do good flat-to-banked transitions. Great video, ride, and landscaping nonetheless!!! 2nd video: Great!!! We played that song in Band last year lol! All of the panning and zooming and POVs and all the rest just went together so smoothly! How in the world did you capture such a complex (as in all of the camera movements) with the in-game camera??? Didn't it move EXTREMELY slow? I took a 1 min 30 sec coaster POV before and it took about 2 hours! I NEVER thought of actually using different camera positions lol! Anyway, both videos were great, but the second one blew me away. One of the best RCT3 videos I have seen (the other really good ones being Fantasia [like 20-30 mins long coaster!] and Night on Bald Mountain [really great by Mike Yee])! Again, great work!!! PS- Wow, that last paragraph was REALLY confusing LOL!!!
