_koppen Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I have been knowing this park ever since it was announced, but I didn't think they actually were on schedule with their construction, as there have been absolutely no photos at all since the ground breaking ceremony. This will truly be the water park year for Thailand, with this, as well as the Cartoon Network and Dino water park opening. I will keep to update this thread with more photos as I find them. Today this photo popped up, so it looks like this is happening. The park is scheduled to open in the late summer. It will be the first of many proposed water parks from Whitewater West to actually get built. This photo shows the steel structure for the giant Abyss slide, as well as the family boomerang. Here's an overview. Some stand out rides will be the two family slides, an abyss and a family boomerang, as well as an Aqualoop, Rattler, Superbowl, Aquacourse, Master Blaster and a RainFortress. There will also be a small wave pool, with a stage of course, as well as a lazy river and toddler area. Here asre some more concept art. I wonder if they will follow through with the "mountain theme" around the Abyss slide. Source
Midgetman82 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Nice to see more Master Blasters coming back into the foreground, and any water park with a lush lazy river is a-okay in my book! Looks awesome!
jedimaster1227 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Looks like Thailand is becoming a more appealing destination with each new park we see springing up there!
_koppen Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 The Aquaplay coming together! They have also started to put up the fiberglass in the bottom of the Abyss, if you look closely. Source
raptor6 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 It looks great! I wish more waterparks in the USA looked this nice.
_koppen Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 The Abyss is almost done, the Aquaplay should also be finished by now, no photos yet though. Source
_koppen Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 The tube slide complex is pretty much done, looks awesome! Source
Midgetman82 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 It might be the scaffolding, but I like how massive they look.
_koppen Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 New photo! Last time I checked they are on schedule to open before 2014 is over. Source
_koppen Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 Not much left to do in terms of the slides. Source
