thrillrider Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) Here is a trip report from Legoland Florida this summer. I have some pros and cons of this park, and here they are..... Pros. The lego displays were great Landscaping was wonderful Very clean park Rides were well themed Employees were friendly The garden walk was a nice Cons. Not enough attractions Operating hours are too short The crazy rain policy(they close everything if there is a drop of rain or lightning within a hundred miles) The high price to get in I really wanted to enjoy this park, and I know I could if they did not have the silly weather policy they have. There were spotty storms the day we were there, but they cleared out buy mid day. Because of this, they cancled the water pirate show for the rest of the day, and closed all but 1 ride(the dark ride) and the 3D movie theater. I totaly understand closing things if there is lightning in the area, but that was not the case. The sun was blasting away without a cloud in the sky after the storms cleared out of the area around 1pm and the park was only open till either 4 or 5.They even closed the indoor playground??? On the up side, we really did enjoy the atmosphere and lego displays around the park. The star wars lego display was amazing. Another thing we really did enjoy was the cypress garden area. The banyan tree was really cool. We did the firetruck attraction where you had to peddle your way to the fire. This was a blast, but it also showed how out of shape I really am..lol On our way out of the park, we did stop by guest relations and complain about everything being closed. The lady behind the desk was VERY friendly and gave us passes to return on another day within a few weeks. Unfortunately we were only in florida for another week at Disney. There was a line at guest relations of people complaining about the same thing. I really want to visit this park again, but I think I will wait until it grows a little more, and we make sure the weather is going to be perfect for the day we go. Here we are at legoland Welcome Is that a breadstick in your pocket, or are you just happy to see us? The lego factory. This is the place you can buy any kind of lego that you want. Any kind of lego you want...they have. I hear that these are a must while in the park, but sadly it was closed when we returned later in the day. The lego theme in the park was amazing. The dragon coaster was our first stop of the day. It was just like a roller skater coaster, but with a dark ride at the begining. The next area of the park. This is where the parks dark ride is. The lost kingdom adventure was a decent dark ride. While waiting in line for some of the larger attractions, they have an area where the kids can play with legos while you wait. Dark ride vehicles. This is the parks wooden coaster. The line is filled with all kinds of lego dinos. Lift hill porn. This attraction was fun, but be warned....you better be in good shape An s.u.v made out of legos Next up was flight school. Flight school is a vekoma jr suspended coaster. Not sure what this was, but the line looked very long. Next up was the parks biggest coaster. However, they closed it due to the invisible rain that never came. So we did not get to ride it. I love the lego cars. The atmosphere of the park was great. For lunch, we ate at the pizza buffet. It was a good deal. Here are a few of the lego displays. The star wars legos were great This lego display is TPR approved. This is the entrance the the cypress gardens area. This area was beautiful. It was also a nice break from the crowds. The banyan tree. This gives you an idea how Huge this tree is. Some of the garden area. Back into the park, we went into the "build a robot" The parks 3-D theater Giraffes seem to be the in thing right now....so here you go This is one of my favorate displays in the park. I really wanted to ride this, but the invisible rain woulden"t let us. Looks like a fun ride. This ride was also closed because of the invisible rain. It looked like a lego themed alpine bobs ride. Yep.....closed. That ends this trip report. My next trip report will be from wild adventures park. Edited November 4, 2013 by thrillrider

jynx242 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Thanks for posting! Sorry to hear about the invisible rain
thrillrider Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 Just found some more picture. Will post them if anyone is interested in seeing them.
Jew Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Cedar Point had similar terrible policies when I last visited. Drove me nuts, and cost me the credit run to Geagua Lake, since a second day at Cedar Point was needed.
Moose Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 What a different policy from the Denmark park where we visited in the pouring rain and just about everything was open.
cfc Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 ^I remember that day well--particularly the pirate boat ride out in the open. Rainiest day I ever spent at a park.
