Hotlanta Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 A new water park will open this spring in Norcross on the site of Malibu Grand Prix track. The water park, Buccaneer Cove, will have water slides and tunnels, interactive aqua domes fountains and a huge splash bucket, according to Palace Entertainment. Semi-private cabanas with food service will be available for all day rental at an additional fee. The playground is currently being constructed where the Grand Prix track once belonged. The park is expected to open Memorial Day weekend. Source: http://www.ajc.com/news/business/new-water-park-planned-for-norcross/nWybL/
simaticable Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 It's not that far from Marietta where SFWW is located. I doubt Six Flags is going to care about some small park.
Aceattack52 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 It looks pretty good. Since there aren't really any other water parks in the area, it's only competition would be SFWW. It does get pretty hot down here during the summer months, I would expect it to be successful.
yay101 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 http://www.gwinnettcounty.com/portal/gwinnett/Departments/CommunityServices/ParksandRecreation/Aquatics I know this thread is old and I am bumping it, but I have tried looking up this water park online. I am wondering if this is the water park this thread is referring to, since it is in Norcross, Georgia. Does anybody know? If it's not, then what happened to it?
tarheel1231 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 There's going to be some waterpark competition in Georgia. Hurricane Bay is opening at SFOG and White Water is in the area too. But with that Atlanta heat, this may be a good idea.
