Werner Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Well here we go! Last weekend it was a long weekend here in Holland, and that was a great excuse to visit some German park! First up was Holiday 'Plopsa' Park, home to the best steel coaster in Europa! Do you know which one? Expedition GeForce ofcourse! But you already knew that didn't you? If you didn't know, go shame yourself in a corner... Now lets get it on with photo's! Driving down to road towards Holiday Park at 180 km/h! Pitstop! Time for a... Welcome to Holiday 'Plopsa' Park! New,new, new! Credit! On a hot spring day, you just need a splash! Now time for the first of this weekend! Mmm... Can i get more please? Rawr! I see you... But first, some Vekoma horror... Satan is waiting for you at the end of this lift! Why did they sell more of these? This is by far the best part of the ride... I quote: 'The best ride in the park!' Second quote: 'but how about that coaster over there?' Wow! Plopsa, plopsa, plopsa... I'm building the future woodie! Yes, it will be an Intamin, and will be the new best coaster of the park! Need any help with that coaster? Mmm... They also added more food! Some more plopsa... Then it was time for the best steelie in Europe!! Airtime! Airtime! Airtime! Then it was alreadt time to leave this park, and go to our hotel for this night. After some diner we still had some room for some ice... And i encountered this; Pommes Frites Icecream! Hope you enjoy for my first TR in 2012, and leave a comment while your at it
hansrubens Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Funny, I did somewhat the same trip only in opposite direction. Thursday: Parc Asterix Friday: driving to Europapark Saturday: Europapark Sunday: Holidaypark Monday: Walygator Were we at Europapark at the same day? Great trip report so far, I look forward to see all the schnitzels! -----Hans
Werner Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 That's really funny indeed Hans! No, i was at Europa Park on Sunday. Are you making a TR too?
hansrubens Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Yep, that's the plan. Better wait now a while. -----Hans
Werner Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 Well their doesn't seem to be much interest in this thread, sadly But hell here goes! Were of to Europa Park today! Welcome to Europa Park, for this very busy day! Almost there, just a little walk towards... Ohh no! Were already in line! Freaking 2,5 hour wait! Well no thanks, lets take the 30/45 min single rider line! I see you big stone guard guy! Almost up to ride! What a great firstdrop that is! Best first drop on any GCI that i have ridden... I see you Bluefire! Did I already mention the tunnels really add to the ride? Up Next! Bluefire, or not? Nope... not yet! Up next? Foodloop! As we already were hungry, mostly because we didn't enter the park at opening... Still a fun way to order your food. Mmm... Wiener Snitzel! After a long lunch we decided to head back towards Iceland! It does doesn't seem like a long trip going from Portugal towards Iceland. Only in Europa Park... The Wodan/Atlantica money shot...? JeeJ for Wodan! Going up... And after that second ride on Wodan, it was time for Bluefire... Feel the speed... Speeding down the MCBR fast forward to... ...into the best part of the ride! And after a last ride on one of the many funny little darkrides! It was time for a 'Wiener Snitzel Dinner' in a local restaurant... Well after that dinner, we could head back into the park to take on last quick ride... Or? Or take the monorail towards... ...The Cocktail Bar! In the lobby we found this! It's one amazing coaster model to see... Mmm... Europa Park Cocktail! Tip! Order the Romeo and Juliet, it's a 2 pers. surprice cocktail! And the best part? It's HUGE! Also the watershow started sometime later, this was the first time i could see it. I've to say: It's Beautifull! After the show, we still had time enough to get waisted! Bye Bye Cocktail Bar! See you again next time... See you again next time, Europa Park! Up next: Tripsdrill!
cfc Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 This is not "the best part" of Super Wirbel. That would be the exit. There can never be enough pictures of Europa Park on this site.
gisco Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Love the pictures of Europa. Can't wait to get back there someday.
larrygator Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 It's always good to see photo of Hotel Colesseo at Europa
RoCo Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Must get to Germany... must get to Germany... must get to Germany... Great shots all around. Keep them coming!
Werner Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 Well, well, well... It's time for the last TR of this weekend! And from a park, i wanted to visit for a long time already. Tripsdrill! Welcome to Tripsdrill... pure family inside! To be exact, this park is all about wine! and other crazyness! Just look at how cute this place looks... First step of making wine? You drop your guests when tilted! Then put them in a barrel, and spin them round-and-round! After the old guest got their hands on the wine, they drank it al and ride the kiddie coaster frontseat!? Naked girls log flume! Way better then the Pirates 4 movie! Mona Lisa? What happened... WHAT!? NO! no credit just yet... lets hope for the best. Well lets get wet first... One of the most fun coaster i've ever done..! Let's hope...? YEEY! Open! Open! Open! ... Here comes the TUNNEL! One last look at this surprise good woodie! bye Bye Tripsdrill, see you next time... That's all Folks! Will be back after my Summer Holiday to Spain with another TR!
gisco Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 NIce trip yoi went on. Thanks for sharing those beatiful parks.
larrygator Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 (edited) Mammut isn't that exciting but I'm a big fan of that Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster. Whenever people speculate about coasters fitting into small footprints in the US, I wish that one of these would be built. Edited June 14, 2012 by larrygator
cfc Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 ^Exactly--I like those Gerstlauer Bobsleds, too (particularly the one at Tripsdrill).
