Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip to California and was wondering if anyone anyone could give any advise, on how easy it is to get about to each park and attractions. We went to Florida last year and loved it and want to expand on our American experiences

Thank you

California is a bit busier and more spread out than the Florida attractions. You'll have to rent a car for sure and be prepared for traffic and crazy drivers! If you do a search I'm sure you'll find a ton more info on this board about it.

Would you recommend we just go to Florida again as were only gonna be 21 so car hire would be expensive and we would be relying on taxi's.

^ It would be nearly impossible, if not VERY VERY expensive to get around California with Taxis. It would be easily $100, if not more, to get from Six Flags Magic Mountain, to Disneyland or Knott's Berry Farm for example. Public transportation IS available, but it's terrible, and would take the better part of a day to get from one location to another.

You simply just cannot do California without a car.

EDIT: The So Cal Fare Finder is saying it's $190 for a taxi from SFMM to Disney.

An option in the LA area is a tour company called Grayline. They will pick you up at your hotel around Disneyland and they have tours to all the major attractions in Los Angeles. The problem with them is that you are on their schedule and they are a little expensive. The price for Magic Mountain with ticket is about $100 per person.

Like Robb said, your best bet is to wait until you can rent a car. LA is not friendly when you don't have a car.
