imaginerd Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 This is a test from last week. I'm hoping to do a much better produced one for WDW soon! If anyone is in the area and wants to help let me know. A time lapse test of Universal's Islands of Adventure.
DougMJr Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 I like the concept, but I would invest in a tripod or a gorilla pod. Also, what kind of camera are you using? If you could turn auto focus off so the focus doesn't shift that would improve the video as well. Also I would increase the rate to 1 exposure per second or faster, especially when shooting coasters. Time lapse video is very cool. Can't wait to see more! -Doug
gisco Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Concept is cool but the camera moving was annoying as was the focus changing.
imaginerd Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 Thank you for your comments. I tested this just with my iphone and an app I had on it with auto focus and 6 fpm. I'm thinking about using a Rebel T3i for when I do WDW.
doublestufforeo Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 I did like the concept, and I liked watching the water for Popeye's other than that, the camera moving kind of killed it for me, also I find stop motion to be slower I know we're dealing with fast moving objects but I think it'd be cool to see Hulk in slo-mo or something with closer pictures.
gisco Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Stepping up to the Rebel will give you more control. You can set the focus to manual. If you have a lot of movement in front of the camera like people or a coaster going by, you might try increasing the fpm. It looks a little weird when a big object just appears then disappears.
Bryce232 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Ignoring the shaky camera, I LOVED how the sky cleared up and the sun started shining on Hulk before another train come out. That was a really great scene!
kumba830 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I kinda agree with the shaky camera comments, yet at the same time I almost liked it at certain parts (It's all personal opinion I'd say). Awesome idea and the song goes great with the video as well!
