GoldRusheROCKS Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 So ya, this Friday from 4-10PM the park is closed to the public for their second annual Scion Night. Last year they got 643, this year they're expecting nearly 1000 (maybe less now since gas...). I t's free to get in if you own a Scion (and drive it in) for up to FIVE peeps (you and four others). Or, if you don't own a Scion (I own two... Thunder Cloud Metallic xB; silver, and a Polar White xA), you can go test drive one and they'll give you a ticket or something... don't really know. I got a caravan of about 25 or so round up to travel up for the day, leaving at like 8AM to get there by 4. Should be rad... never gone before.
PhishyBrewer Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 But it's Six Flags MARINE WORLD... Never mind that, it's SIX FLAGS... If I got into the park for free, I still wouldn't go.
Sir Clinksalot Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Heck, Saturn used to rent Carowinds for a whole day for their peeps. Even with the nice gas mileage, I don't think I can afford to drive Nemesis Prime (my xA) out there. It's like...3000 miles or so, so I don't know if free admission to Six Flags Marine World is gonna balance that one out. It'd be about $800 for gas alone... I'll consider it.
PhishyBrewer Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Cedar Point used to have a Saturn day. Honda also use to buy out the park for a day, but just for there employees.
crispy Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Scion Night  OK, why doesn't Toyota just do a Corrola night, OH THATS right, thier trying to market Scion as a tuner car, I'm not sure how that relates to SFMW
Angry_Gumball Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 It's about time I sneak to my friend's house and take his "toaster on wheels" and shoot up to SFMW...and leave him behind
Sean Menefee Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Sounds like a good promotional idea but I would feel Scion's love more if they flew me to Disney World or something instead of SFMW. This isn’t much stranger then PGA renting out the park to eBay last month though. SM-
GoldRusheROCKS Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 They also have a Scion night during Knott's Scary Farm... but the park is still open to the public (while SFMW is closed). And for the SFMW event, we park inside the actual park, lol.
